tbh water was an acquired taste kind of thing for me, if you love fizzy drinks/pop drinking water can feel alien and take time getting used to
- Comment on What's the best way to respond to someone who says "transracial is just as valid as transgender"? 1 day ago:
“You are wrong. Gender and race are two different things. Transgender people have been around since time began, transracial was invented few years ago to appropriate and diminish transgender people’s experiences. ciao”
but tbf it seems like that person’s tryna start shit so I’d just block em

AI is horrible at understanding context. remember when that lady was calling the police about her abuser and coded it to sound like a pizza order? yea I can see an AI hanging up
- Comment on A game you "didn't know it was bad 'til people told you so"? 1 day ago:
it’s very pay to win. it feels good to play at first then your progress stagnates to the point of frustration and paying players get put in the same matches as non paying players. paying players get access to entirely new planes and upgrades and they always kill me soon after i spawn.

- Comment on YouTube might slow down your videos if you block ads 1 day ago:
YouTube was lagging to play vids the other day now i wonder if it was A B testing. screw off YouTube. 10 ads for a 20 minute video isn’t normal and never will be. also the ads pause if you aren’t watching them. wtf? as always I expect uBlock Origin to get around this

- Comment on Internet restored in Gaza after 3 days: Palestinian telecom official 2 days ago:
To the people saying the situation in Gaza is “war crimes, not genocide”, why is Israel deliberately bombing hospitals, schools, and preventing Palestinian civilians, 50% of which are children, from being able to communicate with the outside world, get food, water or aid?
- Comment on The Plane That Crashed Yesterday Was the Same One a Dead Boeing Whistleblower Warned About 2 days ago:
It can take years for design flaws to start causing crashes in some cases. The 737 came out in the 1960’s and it wasn’t until the 1990s that the rudder hardover crashes happened
- Comment on The Plane That Crashed Yesterday Was the Same One a Dead Boeing Whistleblower Warned About 2 days ago:
My late granddad used to work at Boeing before he started working at Airbus. he told my mum that Boeing planes always had something wrong with them and he didn’t trust their culture of safety. he actively avoided flying on Boeings and chose airlines which only flew Airbus planes. I thought my granddad was scaremongering but with all the scandals involving Boeing coming out and whistleblowers I think my granddad was justified in what he said
I’m not an aviation expert but a double engine failure at the same time is absurdly rare and the last time that happened it was a 777 which had some design defect with the fuel lines if i’m remembering things right. Boeing also removed lightning protection for the 787 to save costs

- Comment on Besides mod logs, is there a better way for the Fediverse to keep track of malicious actors, such as Kiwi farms members and genocide deniers? 1 week ago:
was thinking of something similar to this except for web users too. for example if a user is reported as someone with a malicious history and/or has affiliations with malicious people/sites, the instance admins/mods review the evidence of the reporters and if the evidence is sufficient, that user gets flagged and the flag federates across instances. maybe a red “!” next to the name that has a note when you hover the cursor over it or tap it to warn users to be careful around that person. idk a thing about programming though so I don’t know how hard/easy this’d be to implement lol

Israel and Palestine have both done some horrid things to each other and deprived each other of basic needs. That isn’t something where genocide comes to mind.
What Israel is doing to Palestine IS a genocide. there’s no debate about that
- Comment on [deleted] 1 week ago:
I define genocide by its Latin roots.
Geno = gene
Cide = death
Basically eliminating a people for being in a certain naturally occurring human group.
The British often selected their targets of war based on who could sustain them the most with slaves. That could be called genocide.
Japan has disability-based infanticide ingrained in its cultural practices. That could be called genocide.
Israel and Palestine have both done some horrid things to each other and deprived each other of basic needs. That isn’t something where genocide comes to mind.
There is a difference between agenda-based war and wishing to dissect a land’s demographics.
