Full economic boycott to teach these mooks a hard lesson. Buy used, including car parts and cars. Switch to a local credit union. Pay cash whenever possible so the cc companies don’t get their cut. Buy from locally owned places, but they could be owned by one of the nutters. Sell your unwanted items or give them to worthwhile charities or directly. Go to your library and cancel streaming services.

Increase contributions to retirement and other savings accounts like HSA and college funds.

If you’re going to retire in the next ten years you shouldn’t have ao much money in the atock market. If you’re young then this is a fire sale.
Big donors who wanted this own large private businesses and have very little market exposure.

McDonald’s workers don’t make $30k in a rural area either. You can get a way better job in a city. Where you gonna go in a small town?

A $30k person in a town could be making $60k in a city. With two incomes, that’s an extra $30k/yr.

Only certain things cost more in cities like housing. Other things are basically the same price, especially with online options. You get paid more, which means your 401k match is more money. There’s more opportunities in cities and services like schools are generally much better because of better funding.
Yeah, if you’re childfree and wfh, it’s probably worth it to move to a lcol area. But there are a lot of things to consider.

There should be a target date fund, do that. It automatically rebalances as you reach your target date. So if you plan to retire in 2050, pick the 2050 fund.

When the ACA gets repealed insurance comoanies can use it to preemptively deny you coverage. Then there’s the ethnic cleansing of course. There will be religious people who will use it for marriage licenses or breeding permits.

All they do is combine data from bunch of different data brokers, including a few that sell hacked data. They are likely breaking multiple laws. Someone could put the same thing together that targets law enforcement and politicians. I’m sure it already exists.
- Comment on GM blocks dealership from installing Apple CarPlay retrofit kits in EVs 2 weeks ago:
yeah it would have to be a preconfigured kit for specific vehicles/drivetrain platorms which could be installed in a few days. Transit vans, ford/chevy p/u suv. A popular compact car platform with unreliable drivetrain issues.
I figure cost could come in below $20k depending.

- Comment on GM blocks dealership from installing Apple CarPlay retrofit kits in EVs 2 weeks ago:
I’ve been thinking of starting an ev retrofit company for very common cars/platforms. Drop out the drivetrain/fuel system. Install all the necessary replacement bits, and addons for a/c, heat, etc. Piggyback some kind of system so traction control doesn’t have an aneurism and make the gauges work right. I would need to find a reliable source for batteries and motors.
