If it was owned by the community that moderated it, then yes. But no it’s owned by another rich asshole.
- Comment on Why are people preferring Blue Sky over Mastodon? 2 days ago:
We need a community owned centralized service. I don’t think this model is a good one for social media, it’s too complicated.
- Comment on Terrified friends burn to death trapped in Tesla as doors won't open after crash 4 days ago:
I put two window smashers with seatbelt cutters in my Wife’s Model Y for this reason. The back seat door releases are HARD to notice as they are buried in a door pocket. We are getting rid of the car next year for something made by an actual 100 year old car company and not run by a fucking greedy dork.

The corporations have been doing this with housing. I live in CA and it is awful how many unhoused there are now, and the supreme Court made it illegal!I hope one day this will finally be the last straw for the uprising.

Nintendo is running out of ideas so they are going back into their catalog to remaster old games. Cant have people playing dead games if they release a new graphically updated version and make millions.
- Comment on Nintendo Targets YouTube Accounts Showing Emulated Games 1 month ago:
All they have is their IP, they must protect it at all costs. Nintendo doesn’t even let Shingeru Myamoto wipe is own ass out of fear he will get hurt.

- Comment on Microsoft’s controversial Windows Recall feature is coming back in October 2 months ago:
The writing is on the wall, they are not giving up on that potential cash cow. I won’t use it, hell I don’t use windows, but there are normal computer users that will have it thrust upon on them and won’t know how to really turn it off.
- Comment on BMW Adaptive Suspension Can Be Added via Subscription. Suspension As A Service (SAAS) 2 months ago:
Yeah nah. I hope these car company keep adding subscriptions, it’ll hopefully push people over the edge and hurt their sales. These cars are becoming unfix-able. I can’t imagine how much it would cost to get this system fixed.
- Comment on Starbucks' new CEO will supercommute 1,000 miles from California to Seattle office instead of relocating 2 months ago:
I have to dry my clothes between 12am and 3pm and this m’fer gets to fly a jet to work. Private jets along with luxury yachts are things humanity shouldn’t have.

In my case I upgraded from threadripper 1950x to a 14900k and the machine died after four months. Went back to threadripper 7560x like I should of. My 14th gen cpu still posts, but haven’t thrown any load at it yet. I’m hoping it can still be a streaming box…

- Comment on CrowdStrike’s faulty update crashed 8.5 million Windows devices, says Microsoft 3 months ago:
When I worked there, the company motto was “two feet on the gas pedal” because the CEO was a race car driver. I bailed after 10 months. The management for my team was non existent, and I was on the build and release team. People were doing releases of manually. They’ve improved the automation some from what I here, but looks like the motto finally hit them.
