Uhhh, that one’s hard to get for non-americans, but I got it.
But only because it’s spelt differently, and the pronounciation is entirely different 😬

She claimed that in “85 percent” of police cases, law enforcement couldn’t access the data it needed. The proposal is to amend the existing Cybersecurity Act to allow these changes. You can watch the response below.
That is complete and utter bullshit. And everyone knows it.
- Comment on What are some countries you’ve visited that shocked you with unexpected friendliness? 1 week ago:
France.
Was there on business, visiting a factory of a large vehicle manufacturer, down in the south east. My god these people were nice. There was a guy who made sure we had everything we needed to get our work done, who would literally jump and run if we needed anything. There were people bringing us mini choco croissants for meetings. They always invited us for lunch and paid for it. There was always coffee for us if we needed it. We had desks to work on, which is a rarity in a factory environment, but they made it possible.
The best part was when we were standing at the line with a special piece of equipment that we had brought, and a guy stopped and said “hey, that looks interesting, what’s it for?” - and then we chatted about that for five minutes, eventually realizing it was time for a meeting. For both of us. Five minutes later, it turns out the guy who casually talked to us tech people was actually the head of their corporate IT. You wouldn’t have been able to tell that he was some higher up because he was so down to earth and friendly and casual. They all were. It was a mighty pleasure working with them.

- Comment on dear republicans, what's the point of alienating every single ally of the US? 5 weeks ago:
The answer is: they do not give a shit.
They do not care about the US as a country.
They do not care about the Americans as a people.
They do not care about the economy.
They do not care about anything apart from their own personal interest. Lining their own pockets is all they care about. If someone helps them do that, they are friends with them. If they don’t, they do not matter.
Congratulations, you now officially live in a cleptocracy where they shake you down, take all of your money and give it to the guys who already have billions. All the taxes they claim to save by obliterating social security, affordable care etc? They are not going back to you, they will stuff them in Musk’s pockets through bullshit contracts and other schemes.
And at the same time, they are critically crippling the IRS to make sure the billionairs no longer even have to pretend to pay taxes.

Ah yes, the department of government evisceration. What is the endgame? Some kind of Corporate States of America, where corporations and their owner overtly make the rules, run their own armies with full jurisdiction, and all form of unions or other forms of rights organizations are illegal?
Have fun in that dystopian hellhole of your own making.

- Comment on Cyberpunk 2077 released in December 2020. Almost 4 years later, what is your opinion on it? 5 months ago:
Love it to pieces. Paid absolutely no attention to it before it was released, and due to some friendly advice from an online mate, waited a few months before picking it up, when most of the really bad bugs were already ironed out.
I love pretty much everything about it:
- The score. The music is just so fantastic.
- The settings. Brilliant. Any RPG that isn’t set in a plain vanilla fantasy world already has a big advantage when it comes to my affection, but this setting is just super cool.
- The representation. Absolutely not in-your-face, yet so much there.
- The world building. I think they paid absolutely absurd attention to details, like “where does everyone’s food come from” and “where does everybody’s garbage go”.
- The story. I like it.
- The characters. They feel relatable and their motivation makes sense, which is not always the case in many games. I find myself caring about (some of) them.
- The quests. I like them.
- The combat. It started out okay, but now, it is so much fun. I absolutely love what they have done with it after 2.0. I love being able to actually throw people at each others. I love the various melee finishers. I love the cyberware. I love using the wrist rocket launcher to blow up attacking cars. I love being able to throw knifes and axes without constly having to craft more. I love all of it.
- The mods. I love what dedicated modders have done to make a good game into a really really great game. There are such fantastic mods for this game, it keeps bogging my mind.
So yeah, love it to pieces, and absolutely one of my all time favorite games.

- Comment on Windows Recall is secretly installed on non-Copilot+PCs (Privacy Nightmare) 5 months ago:
(re)Ditched Windows on my PC a while ago, still have to use Windows at work. Just checked my work laptop running Windows 11 (standard laptop, not a “Copilot+PC”) - sure enough, that Recall shit is installed and active. Disabled it, and made a post in our main company Teams channel with screenshots. Will be interesting to see if there are any reactions to this.
To find out if it is active in Windows 11, open up ‘cmd’ and use: (typing this from memory, hope it is correct)
dism /online /get-featureinfo /featurename:Recall
to disable it, you need a ‘cmd’ instance with admin rights:
dism /online /disable-feature /featurename:Recall

- Comment on I'm a reasonably well educated human living on Earth. What's to stop me from replicating starship parts until I can make my own Starfleet? 5 months ago:
I’m reasonably sure this is not entirely correct. My understanding is that a replicator works similar to a transporter, in that it turns pure energy into matter according to a known pattern.
- Comment on Altech’s sodium chloride solid state battery exceeds expectations 6 months ago:
It probably doesn’t matter. This type of battery is not all that interesting for things like electric cars, rather more so for things like grid energy storage on a massive scale. Think 1000s of these in a large building, getting charged during the day with excess solar energy, releasing it into the grid at night. Stuff like this is what has been missing to make even better use of renewables.
