You were probably downtown for a work event. The culture is in the neighborhoods

PTSD would not exist
I don’t think you know what PTSD is then
- Comment on If AI was all it was cracked up to be, it wouldn't be shoved in your face 24/7 2 weeks ago:
If AI was something everyone wanted or needed, it wouldn’t be constantly shoved your face by every product
Counter point: Yes it absolutely would be. There would still be competition between models and products and a need for brand recognition. If you had a product with a feature someone “wanted or needed” you wouldn’t advertise that??? AI aside this is just silly

There’s quotes.

What model are you using? I’ve had such a radically different experience but I’ve only bothered with the latest models. The old ones weren’t even worth trying with

How are you interpreting it that way. Did you miss a sentence or something in the quote?

You understand that doesn’t contradict my point in any way right?

Maybe, but they’re not helping Republicans as much as people like you
- Comment on WATER! 2 months ago:
The comic is only accurate if you expect it do everything for you, you’re bad at communicating, and you’re using an old model. Or if you’re just unlucky

And your car or flight is a massive strain on the environment. I think you’re missing the point. There’s a way to use tools responsibly. We’ve taken the chains off and that’s obviously a problem but the AI hate here is irrational
- Comment on Lemmy be like 3 months ago:
They factually are. ML is AI. I think you mean AGI maybe?
- Comment on Lemmy be like 3 months ago:
Uh dismissing that concern seems like valid point? Do people have to comprehensively discredit the whole list to reply?

Looks like I might have found a Linux zealot lol. "It just works for me is a totally rational and fair reason to prefer Windows. Zealotry requires irrational beliefs. Maybe he is but you’ve not laid out a convincing argument/story.
Fwiw I prefer Linux but I’ll use Windows everyday too. It has a lot of uses and most products are designed for it. It has it’s places still. I’m certainly not zealous about Windows
- Comment on Apple sued by shareholders for allegedly overstating AI progress 4 months ago:
And claiming that it works is zealotry? Sounds like he does like Linux, that doesn’t make him a Windows zealot. Apathetic is kinda Windows target demographic and the antithesis of zealotry
- Comment on Apple sued by shareholders for allegedly overstating AI progress 4 months ago:
That doesn’t sound like zealot as much as someone who doesn’t want to think about it though

Have you seen a Windows zealot?
Yeah me neither

how the hell would I say I make $150k/yr
There is a place here with a $70 steak, I’m tempted to try it one day
That’s a good point, but it’s still 2.5x the median income for the area I live.
These are red flags that will ruin your chances and if you are acting differently towards women, stop acting and just stop trying to humble brag about your income. It’s a lot easier to not try to trick people
- Comment on Reality vs. male delusion 5 months ago:
Yeah I would definitely not talk like that to anyone you’re interested in. You have all the subtlety of a bull in a china shop. Don’t be this guy

I had pretty much the same experience as that user and it’s why I left lemm.ee when they decided not to defederate with some of the worst instances. Was about to go back to the search if lemmy.world wasn’t any better. Tankies are why I don’t recommend Lemmy to my friends anymore. They are the fediverse’s biggest problem
- Comment on The best thing *you* can do for the fediverse is *just be kind* 7 months ago:
I came to Lemmy (lemm.ee originally) with this attitude. Tankies really made me regret trying to be sympathetic too them. It was the most vile interaction I’ve had on the Internet maybe? You shouldn’t call people tankies if they’re not but real tankies are by far the biggest problem with the fediverse and it’s growth
