I think the appropriate headline should be:
“Reddit in talks to embrace iris-scanning Orb to verify users created by man alleged by his own sister to have molested her throughout her childhood beginning at age 3.”

I have a Premium subscription, but I can give you an even bigger reason to never use YouTube. They actively push brain rot in their search. No matter what words I use to search for something, it is almost always the same results. Looking for nostalgic videos from the 90s? YT: “Here is the most recent brain rot on the Internet.”

Doesn’t bother me either. I honestly didn’t know spicy food making people shit was a thing. I always thought it was shitty food that caused spicy diarrhea.

Smart. I wouldn’t trust any statements made on behalf of a genocidal supporting country either.
- Comment on My mom tells me I should cut dad off for cheating on her, am I a bad person for not wanting to do so? 2 weeks ago:
No you’re not wrong for wanting to keep your dad in your life. Any reputable family counselor would say your mom shouldn’t be asking you to pick a side. Your mom does need support though, but it isn’t your job. What your dad did sounds really hurtful to her, as it would be for most people. Maybe he is your best friend, but being a parent is more than being a friend. It means being a role model & wanting to teach things like honesty & respect, especially for the people you’re supposed to love.
Has your dad offered to pay for counseling for you to process these things & talk to a professional about? It sounds like you could probably use it. I don’t know how old you are, but given that you’re asking the question here & the way you’re asking leads me to believe you’d be much better off talking to a professional about it.

With all non-due respect, you’re being dishonest & disingenuous.
Your first link is from 2018 titled, “A Day, a Life: When a Medic Was Killed in Gaza, Was It an Accident?” I’ll quote from the article:
“An investigation by The New York Times found that Ms. Najjar, and what happened on the evening of June 1, were far more complicated than either narrative allowed… The Palestinians trying to tear down the fence are risking their lives to make a point, knowing that the protests amount to little more than a public relations stunt…”
Now let’s see if they question Israel’s narratives the same way?
nytimes.com/…/israel-hamas-information-war.html
Titled “In a Worldwide War of Words, Russia, China and Iran Back Hamas” and I quote:
“Iran, Russia and, to a lesser degree, China have used state media and the world’s major social networking platforms to support Hamas and undercut Israel, while denigrating Israel’s principal ally, the United States… Cyabra has documented at least 40,000 bots or inauthentic accounts online since Hamas attacked Israel from Gaza on Oct. 7. The content — visceral, emotionally charged, politically slanted and often false — has stoked anger and even violence far beyond Gaza, raising fears that it could inflame a wider conflict.”
This is an opinion piece, right up there alongside:
The Genocide Charge Against Israel Is a Moral Obscenity: www.nytimes.com/…/israel-hamas-war-genocide.html
The Reason for an Israeli Curfew: Palestinian Terrorism: www.nytimes.com/2020/…/israel-palestinians.html
Where is the investigation? This is a video that wasn’t even taken by NYT. Regardless, for every 10 Israeli propaganda article, maybe one or two being slightly critical doesn’t mean jack shit.

Trump’s threats mean nothing. Prices are going up & billionaires are making more than ever. Remember he gave the biggest wealth transfer to the rich during COVID. That is what you’re seeing happening.

- Comment on The Windows Subsystem for Linux is now open source. 4 weeks ago:
Maybe. But Microsoft owns the workplace, so when you get a job they’ll demand you can only use Windows, or if you’re lucky enough to be allowed to use Linux, the Microsoft management software will suck so much you’ll want to use Windows. Microsoft is silently implementing their EEE strategy, and this is only a small part of that. Before long they’ll release their AI-focused cloud-connected Linux distro with Windows Desktop compatibility.
- Comment on Resistance from the tech sector 1 month ago:
Yes, but even before you get to that point. Like I said they’ll fight dirty at first, so having assistance to even be able to get to that point requires community efforts.
- Comment on Resistance from the tech sector 1 month ago:
Maybe you should study some law to understand how the courts work. He can’t even impeach federal judges. It takes 2/3 majority just like it does for President.
- Comment on Resistance from the tech sector 1 month ago:
When the courts have shown multiple times that they no longer care about the constitution. Right now we have the Supreme Court ruling against the Trump admin’s illegal deportations. Unfortunately it takes time for the process to play out. I am optimistic that the courts will for now maintain the checks & balances. The courts are the strongest protection against Trump’s authoritarian attempts.

Maybe go actually read the article before you make it so obvious that you didn’t.

- Comment on Resistance from the tech sector 1 month ago:
I’ve been saying this for such a long time, the tech industry needs unions. It also needs crowd sourced legal assistance as well because it isn’t going to be easy. They’ll fire of course at first despite being illegal, then they’ll want migrants that they can threaten with deportation if they don’t comply. Even if Trump goes away, unions will be necessary to keep corporations accountable.

Depends on the game really but sometimes you have to spend a lot of time & research on things to figure it out. Great that it is open source but companies like Microsoft also work to sabotage efforts at times. If it has multiplayer with anticheat, you’ll prob find a lot more instances where things don’t work or require more effort.

For sure. Linux has a lot of great apps but there are times where it’ll become incredibly frustrating. For example, file explorers can be basic & frustrating… The best you’ll prob get is Dolphin.
