I still use 1337 sometimes, for joke names like H4xX0r1337 and it’s always that nobody gets it. How could past internet culture vanish like that?

All my phones have always been on DnD, I don’t even know how my ringtone sounds.
- Comment on Got myself some energy monitoring Zigbee plugs and made an interesting discovery 2 weeks ago:
Thanks for the heads up, I often let the time slip when casually talking about stuff like this.
Actually the server and network consumes 130Wh or around 3120Wh a day, while my freezer consumes 400Wh per day or around 16Wh. That’s also the reason why I was shocked about the consumption, as you would guess a freezer takes more.

70 kW is 16€ where I live and I have around 4000 kW per year.
- Comment on Got myself some energy monitoring Zigbee plugs and made an interesting discovery 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, energy monitoring ruined several things for me. Can’t let my PC idle anymore, can only turn on the dishwasher when the sun is shining, need to explain regularly to my wife, why our home network and server infrastructure consume 130 Watts per hour…
The damn freezer consumes only 400 Watts per day while Network infrastructure, server, Wallpanels and KNX consume 3 Kilowatts.

In this case all comments are irrelevant? What makes you think the comment I commented on is relevant, but mine isn’t? What’s the difference?
If one comment is irrelevant, it’s yours, because it didn’t add any thought or value to the topic.

Do I have to agree or disagree? I just pointed out that work today isn’t worse than yesterday.
- Comment on Stress 3 months ago:
Capitalism unfortunately
- Comment on Stress 3 months ago:
Work has never been so unstressful, if you look back at the history of mankind.
Industrialization killed workers with 60 hour shifts in unsafe environments. Middle ages made you work 18 hours a day once you were 7 and made you starve if the harvest was bad. In the stone age your family died from hunger after you got killed on the hunt.
Life expectancy was never as high as today.
- Comment on World of Warcraft adds $90 mount to in game store 3 months ago:
People will buy it. And then they will wonder why content quality declines and more and more micro transactions appear in a game you bought and pay subscription for.
The capitalism will always look for the easy route to even more money, and monkey brains with need for status will follow.

How about you just stop consoooming. There will always be cars without this and if there aren’t: there are more sustainable modes of transportation anyways.
