Turn based please.
- Comment on Choking during sex: many young people mistakenly believe it can be done safely, our study shows 5 days ago:
I’ve never had a partner that wants me to actually choke her for fuck’s sake. A lot of women are just turned on by the fantasy and like sex a little rough. Apply a little pressure on their neck and humor them if they’re into it.
- Comment on Quantum mechanics might have the solution to joystick drift 5 days ago:
8bitdo sells a fantastic controller that does everything the Switch Pro controller does besides gyro for $25. It has hall-effect sticks, hall effect triggers and a much better d-pad. It really sickens me how greedy the console manufacturers have gotten with controller prices.

Rooting for the collapse of this entire system is what sustains me.

Unless it’s something they’re genuinely passionate about that gives them purpose, it’s the saddest thing in the world. I don’t think that describes the vast majority of us doing our mundane corporate slave work though.
- Comment on Are PC handhelds like Steam Deck really competitors for Switch 2? 6 days ago:
There’s some overlap in customers, sure but the vast majority of people who buy a Switch 2 aren’t the types who would buy a Deck. Switch 2 will sell tens of millions more units to a mainstream consumer. And that’s fine. Deck can still be a successful product in its own right as long as Valve is making a profit off of it through Steam software sales.
- Comment on BAFTA Crowns Shenmue "The Most Influential Video Game Of All Time" In Surprise Result | Time Extension 1 week ago:
But then GTA3 was already the natural progression for the series. It’s not that different than the 2D GTA games in terms of design… the technology just wasn’t there yet to build it out in 3D until that point. I’m sure they were already in process of developing the game before seeing Shenmue and it would have turned out very similar had that game never existed.

More than Super Mario Bros and Doom? Nah, son.
- Comment on The Switch 2 Rollout Was So Convoluted It Made Us Want A Steam Deck. 1 week ago:
Maybe I’m just getting old, but I was very bored and underwhelmed during the entire presentation even before the terrible pricing reveal. I like the mouse joycons and the Donkey Kong game. That’s about it.
- Comment on First-party Switch 2 games—including re-releases—all run either $70 or $80 1 week ago:
Hah. Oh hey… Look, it’s in 4K after all!
- Comment on First-party Switch 2 games—including re-releases—all run either $70 or $80 1 week ago:
I’m just going to get the Switch version and be perfectly happy with the visuals being slightly less good and using gyro joycon aim over joycon mouse.
- Comment on GameCube Coming To Nintendo Switch Online With 3 Games At Launch 1 week ago:
Kind of weird to focus on something like an emulated GameCube version of Wind Waker when they already released a more definitive HD version.

An espresso martini is only a martini in the sense that it’s served in the same glass. Haha. Definitely a dessert drink.

Would be really nice if it were turn-based. Can throw us turn-based fans a little bone after so long, you know?
- Comment on Reddit’s 50% Plunge Fails to Entice Dip Buyers as Growth Slows. 2 weeks ago:
That was indeed awful, but I put up with it (and the app even improved a bit over the last year or whatever). The thing that made me finally leave was posts being shadow deleted for simply saying a man’s name and then being threatened with bans for upvoting the “wrong” content. Absolutely not.
- Comment on Deepseek v3 0324: Finally, the Sonnet 3.5 at Home 2 weeks ago:
Pretty nerdy. I was asking it how to get a good ending in a video game and when the answer annoyed me I told it “That all sounds like too much work. I think I’ll just play the game however I want to and then watch the best ending on YouTube.” That’s when it dropped the “LOL, based. Totally valid!”
- Comment on Deepseek v3 0324: Finally, the Sonnet 3.5 at Home 2 weeks ago:
It responded to me earlier with “LOL, based.” I love it.

“Hey bartender… you don’t serve me a margarita, so I don’t drink a margarita…”
I’m a bartender. You’re damn right I won’t, and good. I’ll grab my boss if the issue ever comes up and they can handle that one. Haha.
- Comment on People Are Using AI to Create Influencers With Down Syndrome Who Sell Nudes 3 weeks ago:
AI? Oh good. I’ve been seeing this “down syndrome baddie” content in thumbnail form and just sort of threw my arms up like “2025 things I guess?”
- Comment on PC gamers spend 92% of their time on older games, oh and there are apparently 908 million of us now 3 weeks ago:
Totally. Even with good new games, best to wait until they are cheap and completely stable. The impatience to play something the day it releases hasn’t been a thing for me since like 2010… which I agree with you were just generally better, more exciting times for the medium.
- Comment on Welcome, new users! 4 weeks ago:
Yep, I’ve been flirting with Lemmy for a year and a half and come here every time Reddit really pisses me off or bans me for something I would have never been banned for 10 years ago.
I’m not flirting with it anymore. This recent batch of censorship is too much. It’s the last straw. Deleted my Reddit account for good. I can still use it as a resource to get answers to questions without needing an account.
- Comment on A Reddit moderation tool is flagging ‘Luigi’ as potentially violent content 5 weeks ago:
Yeah, thank you. My post was really just a “if things get bad enough, I can always blow my brains out which gives me a strange sense of comfort” sort of thing and it was flagged as threats of violence… against myself I guess? Silly. I will of course do my best to not let things get to that point and try to look for the positives in life.
- Comment on A Reddit moderation tool is flagging ‘Luigi’ as potentially violent content 5 weeks ago:
Yeah, I was banned for talking about suicidal thoughts, so they’re definitely going to ban me if I say Luigi Mangione is my hero and did a beautiful thing.
- Comment on DeepSeek iOS app sends data unencrypted to ByteDance-controlled servers 2 months ago:
Does this actually matter so long as I just ask it questions I want answers to? I’m not feeding it any personal information.
