- Comment on Has this ever happened to you? 2 days ago:
I think if someone implied they were bringing someone without at least asking, as this person did, I would match their rude energy and say “I did not agree to that, so here are my boundaries.”
The way the other party phrased it would annoy the shit out of me. 'I’m bringing my best friend." Ok, so why don’t you date them? Causes way more friction than asking “Hey, I know it’s unconventional but I would like a friend to be there just for my safety since we don’t know eachother yet.”
- Comment on Firefly, the shinest damn show in the 'Verse 2 weeks ago:
Yeah came to say the same. His shows are forever tainted and I say that as a fan of Buffy, Firefly even Dollhouse.

bro same. From the moment I was aware of the problems with America they have gotten progressively worse, though the past year has seen an acceleration of madness and chaos I never thought possible.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong is out now on Steam - and it broke Steam servers for 15 minutes and counting now 4 weeks ago:
Can someone explain the fervor over this game? I played the first one and bounced completely off of it. It was slick for sure, but obtuse and kinda janky.

- Comment on Anyone else guilty of this? 1 month ago:
Cant force the shit, same with any culturally significant thing from your childhood. Think of it in reverse: if you aren’t willing to engage with their zeitgeist in good faith, how could you expect them to engage with yours?
- Comment on Fucking Censorship. That's fucking why Physical Money is fucking best 1 month ago:
No, its patronage. I am not buying anything, just supporting an artist. Then I “acquire” a piece coincidentally from the same artist, because a minority of people can apparently bully payment processors in to not accepting money for goods.
- Comment on An excellent source of protein: Health, hype and hard truths 1 month ago:
Protein helps you eat less calories by being more satiating than carbs or fat. You feel full faster and longer, plus you burn some calories digesting it. And unless youre a body builder thats pretty much it. Its not that complicated.

The ones who walk away from Omelas is one of my favorite stories. Powerful metaphor, that.

Or you could pirate the game and just donate the money to the creator.
- Comment on Creative writing 2 months ago:
yeah… school for me at least was a race to the bottom. Test scores and homework quotas superseded teaching creativity or critical thinking.

robust but proportionate are just weasel words. Who is determining the line of “robustness” or “proportionate” and can they be trusted?

It’s funny, Patreon cracked down years ago on Incest content forcing indie porn devs to do *nudge *nudge *wink she’s your “Landlady” stuff. I guess paypal just assumed Steam was cleaner until now.

- Comment on naruto therapy 2 months ago:
Shounen, just like any good young adult fiction, is a morality play. Good life lessons about friendship and overcoming adversity…but it is not a substitute for personal growth. You gotta take those lessons and synthesize them.

My wife and I smuggle candy and booze in to the theaters all the time. Theaters are so understaffed and mostly by teenagers and they dont give a fuck what we’re doing.

meh, its still not inconvenient enough to pay 10+ dollars a month. The state of adverts online is so egregious that I would probably sooner stop watching Youtube than pay or put up with ads.
