Rather, it became the standard example of every event that has 2 outcomes, regardless of quantum mechanics is even applicable or not. It was a complete failure.

Thing is that Schrödinger would never put a cat in a box to test his thought experiment because Schrödinger knows that macroscopic object don’t really follow quantum mechanics because of decoherence.

Good thing I have a bike. My car broke down like 4 years ago, been biking since. People scare me, so I don’t have places to be.

The workers at my local gas station go outside of the shop to smoke. I once asked them if that weren’t dangerous and they said they have a ventilation system that pushes the vapors out the other way and that it’s fine to smoke here (it’s still disallowed as per house rules but they don’t really care)

I guess it depends on what burns. Water is conductive, so you might not want to use it to put out an electrical fire because of the risk of electrocution.
- Comment on Saying "over" on the radio is like the null byte at the end of a string. 2 weeks ago:
Reminds me of that old TV trope of saying “over and out”. This is not how you end a radio transmission. “Over” means that you are finished talking and are now awaiting a reply, “out” means that you finished talking and going to stop listening for a reply. Saying both together is contradictory, you only say “out” when you’re done.

Germany. IIRC the topic was Romans, not Liege specifically.

Asterix was pretty popular in the 90s Central Europe. The movies were in theaters, the older ones got prime time slots on TV, the comics were in every book store’s kids section.

When I was in elementary, my teacher said that “Lutetia” was how the Romans called the city of Liege. As an avid reader of Asterix comics, I knew this isn’t true and corrected her and said it was the Roman name of Paris. She insisted that it is Liege. Anyway, the next day, she came back to class and said that she looked it up and that I was indeed correct and Lutetia referred to Paris and gave me a chocolate bar.

Bolognese “sauce” is actually a stew and you just dump pasta in there. Don’t use spaghetti for it tho, spaghetti is for actual sauces.

Nah, I’m just gonna do what I’m doing. Commenting on stuff I like or am interested in and that’s it. I’m way too anti-social to do something like building a community.

Nazism is fascism, corporations and the wealthy LOVE fascism because that means they get more power and less regulation. Remember what Benito Mussolini, the founding father of modern fascism and all around shitbag, said about it:
Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power.
