This could technically be possible with AR glasses. You’d still want to pair them with a wireless keyboard and maybe a mouse though for efficiency. I don’t know what’s the state of that though.

For most people smartphone is more convenient. I much prefer desktop computer though, because how more efficient it is, and apps don’t simply stop, because of low memory (although I don’t understand why my phone with 6 gigs of RAM has this problem in the first place).

What we need is a subset of modern web, without any bloat, especially JS frameworks.
A lot of websites can be static HTML + CSS.

I might be overly pedantic, but it drives me insane that there are many words, where you can’t take the meaning from its parts, because they would mean something completely different.

It’s always funny how companies who want to adopt some new flashy tech never listen to specialists who understand if something is even worth a single cent, and they always fell on their stupid face.

- Comment on Wikimedia Foundation's plans to introduce AI-generated summaries to Wikipedia 3 weeks ago:
I never did any homework unless absolutely necessary.
Now I understand that I should have done it, because I am not good at learning shit in classrooms where there is bunch of people who distract me and I don’t learn anything that way. Only many years later I found out that for most things it’s best for me to study alone.
That said, you are most probably right, because I have opened some math-related Wikipedia articles at some point, and they were pretty incomprehensible to me.
- Comment on Wikimedia Foundation's plans to introduce AI-generated summaries to Wikipedia 3 weeks ago:
I am also from a country that English is not widely spoken, in fact most people are not able to make a simple conversation (they will tell you they know ““basic English”” though).
I still find it easier to read Wikipedia articles in English, than than understand some relatives, because they never precisely say what the fuck they want from me. One person even say such incomprehensible shit, that I am thinking their brain is barely functional.
- Comment on Wikimedia Foundation's plans to introduce AI-generated summaries to Wikipedia 3 weeks ago:
TIL: Wikipedia uses complex language.
It might just be me, but I find articles written on Wikipedia much more easier to read than shit sometimes they write or speak to me. Sometimes it is incomprehensible garbage.

Why were you trying to build it? You can find both ““stable”” and nightly releases on ReactOS website.
- Comment on The Windows Subsystem for Linux is now open source. 1 month ago:
Wait, Windows still has POSIX subsystem or is it only listed for documentation reasons (it was there at least in old NT days)?

As for posting stuff on the internet, I don’t care anymore. I just try to not post stupid shit, and be decent to other people.

- Comment on Mario Kart 64 got finally decompiled! 1 month ago:
Pokemon MMO’s are the entire different thing. I am not 100% sure how they developed them, but they seem to be just reimplementations of original game mechanics, but while reusing original assets.
And yet I don’t understand why you say they are not taken down by Nintendo. Couple of them were already closed down because of copyright infringement, and they make big news about that.

That’s seems reasonable to me. It’s 6 per one person in 2 weeks. There are times where I think I’d use more, lol.

That’s hardly a bad thing unless you can’t use the most common way (e.g. paying by credit/debit card) in shops.
- Comment on Mario Kart 64 got finally decompiled! 1 month ago:
They will eventually be all taken down. That’s the point. They have no legal framework to exist, and Nintendo could strike any time they want, like Rockstar did with the re3 project.
They also have valid reasons to think that these projects are causing them to lose money, since they give alternative (and technically better) solutions to play their old games, without buying any Nintendo hardware or software (unless you dump your games, but let’s be honest. You don’t).
- Comment on Mario Kart 64 got finally decompiled! 1 month ago:
Exactly. But somehow I got downvoted heavily for saying the obvious.
- Comment on Mario Kart 64 got finally decompiled! 1 month ago:
No one says that the actual source code (C or whatever) is “piped out”. The machine instructions (in form of a binary) you get is the code that is executed by the machine/emulator and it’s copyrighted like any other data on the disc/cartridge. You are not writing the game yourself if you are decompiling it. And it’s logically a derivative work.
I don’t understand what kind of mental gymnastics you need to do to think that you are doing something original here.
- Comment on Mario Kart 64 got finally decompiled! 1 month ago:
The code itself is also copyrighted. Decompiled code is a derivative work.
- Comment on Mario Kart 64 got finally decompiled! 1 month ago:
I won’t say if that project is legal or not, but expect it (and many others) to be taken down by Nintendo soon. Make a local copy if you want to preserve it.

I see that Fedora uses Btrfs, so it should be able to take file system snapshots, which are sort of an alternative to the immutable thing, isn’t it?

There’s a reason why modern browsers have multiple processes. Each tab and extension is sandboxed for stability and security reasons.
Also Firefox tends to use similar amount of RAM as Chrome, and it’s silly that it’s only Chrome is being making fun of.

I remember having 10 inch netbook. It was okay for a while, but I would never want to go back to 10 inch display on a laptop. It’s just horrible to use. 13 inches is ideal for me =)
