“I’m 39 and a single dad to three girls with special needs, but five years ago I quit my job and started pursuing my lifelong dream of being a game developer. This metroidvania styled RPG with roguelite elements is my dream come true. Here’s a short clip of the gameplay.”
Shitty 8-bit sprites jiggle on the screen
Reddit: OMG! I’m literally crying right now as I buy this. It’s so good!

That say you learned a very valuable lesson about permission and forgiveness.

It’s just really refreshing instead some knee jerk, “You don’t know their situation shit for brains!” It’s measured to highlight a flaw in the core logic but civil in acknowledging the truth in the nuance. I hope we keep it! Lol.

This is like the fifteenth time I’ve seen this and it seems unique to Lemmy. You contradict their main point, but concede there is a reasonable undercurrent. I like this a lot. It makes the internet feel a lot less toxic.
Thanks to you and everyone else doing the same!

I literally came to say Bubble Bobble too!
I’ll add Adventures of Lolo, all of them.

Oh God, I literally quit the game because the summons were so absurd. I feel I spent more time watching the same animations than I did playing the game.

It’s probably the silly registration tag underneath. But people hate anything made by AI even if it’s just an innocuous joke. Kind of tiring, really.

I don’t go around saying this to random people and I wouldn’t have to in polite society. It was with respect to her belief that hospitals were paid extra for people who died from COVID.
You have to understand, my entire family, siblings, parents, nephews, cousins, are all functionally illiterate. I’m literally the most intelligent person they know.
Place me in an APS conference and I’m probably the dumbest person in the room.

I need to restart this game… Started it ages ago, got caught up in like, and now I’m pretty sure I won’t even remember what mission I’m on, lol.
- Comment on Can you think of any now? 1 month ago:
I recently told my mother that I’m probably the most intelligent person she will ever meet while explaining why her conservative briefs are dumb as shit and she defensively asked what my IQ is…
I was no contact for the past eight years or so and it was at a family reunion that we saw one another.
I don’t know my IQ, I’m actually a pretty slow learner, and I have horrible test anxiety. But as a polyglot physicist with a dash of perpetual autodidactic inclinations, I’m pretty well informed and I don’t know if intelligence can be measured, but I know it when I see it.
It’s funny that conservatives think quick wit and fast words equate to intelligence without ever stopping to think about the substance.

I love it when animes go meta on you. Like when the old man in JJK is talking about frame interpolation being on my default ruining anime and giving it the soap opera effect. Lol.

That’s what I mean though, terminally online mods ruin it for a lot of us. No way in hell do I have an hour or more a day to commit to policing others, yet there are mods on all social media that love to do it for free. When it’s free you get a selection bias for motive. Not dissimilar to real world police.

One day old account. Asking about sex on Lemmy. Boyfriend is 220lbs and 6’ 2" tall guy who works out.
Yeah… Nah, this entire post feels off.
Most people don’t sweat buckets during sex though, to answer the direct question.

I’ve tried two times to get into No Man’s Sky, because the concept is exactly something I would enjoy. Every single time I get stuck in the tutorial looking for some fucking broken ship on the other side of the planet and an inventory of random minerals.

I was way into a girl and said, “I like you a lot and enjoy our talks, would you like to date me?” She said, “No, not really, but I’d like to still be friends.” And I said no thanks. Not because I was being a dick or anything, but I was too in to her to be friends. We drifted apart and both found someone else that was a better match for each of us.

You can cut down most of those specs to get something closer to 20.000 RON that will still be future proof. If money isn’t an issue, this is a great build. A 20.000 PC will be good for about five years, a 40.000 maybe seven years. It’d be better to rebuild an entire PC in five than pay the upfront cost today.
