Damn. Guess its been longer than I thought. Cause juul didn’t become a thing until after I had stopped. I remember other early vapes tobacco companies were trying to break in with but they were disgusting and the flavors didn’t even come close to as good as what others had been already been making.

Not that old. Juul isn’t even that old. When I used vaping to quit smoking before stopping both, you had to have a basic understanding of electronics for mechanical and box mods to make coils and such. Tanks weren’t that great at that point so I used a drip tip which I did actually enjoy at the time. I recognize this might sound like being like hipster or something, but its crazy seeing where vaping is now.
- Comment on I wonder if antivax kids are OK getting a cootie shot? 5 days ago:
The better question is whether the antivax parents are OK with it, since its their dumb decision not to vaccinate the kids, not the kids themselves.
- Comment on I wonder if antivax kids are OK getting a cootie shot? 5 days ago:
Unfortunately you aren’t. Because antivax is the reason for the measles outbreaks that have occurred among other things. Go look up the iron lung and tell me how vaccines dont work and how you are alarmed antivax people are considered harmful.

So i only have a bare understanding of German, but I do have to say, the fact I can select text in comments and translate them actually makes me very happy. I always wished I had more of a knack for languages and I’ve always liked German so its cool to be able to follow along even a little.

Early 30s. I’ve never agreed with the republican party, but it seemed to me that at one point they were at least trying to improve things, even if their ideas were stupid.
- Comment on Im thinking we still have a deeper bottom 2 months ago:
I don’t hate the republican party. But the current party isn’t the republican party. I disagreed with the republican party, which is different. The current iteration has people in charge who have literally no understanding or don’t actually care how the government works and what is needed. They aren’t reducing “waste”, they are just using that as an excuse to try and get rid of anything they don’t like or don’t agree with. The sooner you start to understand that the better. Because you don’t have enough understanding of what’s actually going on to have a legitimate discussion about it. It’s like someone who doesn’t understand algebra trying to have a discussion about calculus.

It’s causing fear and disruption throughout the “background” technical fields as well. Technicians and engineers are also very understaffed which makes responding to issues very difficult. Add to that a large part of the workforce being at retirement age and having issues trying to hire more and it’s a big worry. Not saying things are dangerous just yet, but as time goes on and the new administration has more time to meddle it’s more and more likely they will break something.

The sheer willing ignorance of your comments are mind boggling. We have literal nazis doing the salutes in front of crowds as well as posting and talking about nazi racial ideologies. Please PLEASE work on your critical thinking and getting better at looking at things logically and from a mindset outside of your own little demographic. If you cant/won’t even make that attempt than you aren’t even worth having a discussion with.

Honestly, i have ground news that I subscribe too and most of the time I try (not too successfully since it’s EVERYWHERE) to avoid politics outside of it. I’m a federal employees as well so there’s even more fear involved.

Trump supporters are some of the most whiny, needy, and snowflake people i have ever had the misfortune to meet/hear. They are an extremely vocal minority that is going to fuck things up for everyone. And guess what? The common man ISNT a nazi. They aren’t bigots, they aren’t sexist, traitors or unethical. Those are the minority. And the real problem is that those people think they are allowed to express these views. Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consequences.
