In general, judging someone for their religious beliefs and practices is a bad look.
On Ash Wednesday many people look like they have an Iron Cross on their forehead. That's a bad look.

Good thing no religions do so.

I wasn’t really sure what you were talking about, so I looked them both up, and I think there’s a really good chance your optician gave you Nazi-tinted lenses by mistake.

Shit ton of Nazi talk in the U.S. these days.

Are these nazis in the room with us right now?

Maybe that’s why the Bible reading for Ash Wednesday services has Jesus telling people to put oil on their heads and wash their faces so that their fasting may be seen not by others.

Why is that a bad or worse look than whatever it’s supposed to symbolize?
db2@lemmy.world 4 months ago
I see it as blatantly announcing their implicit support for a child molestation ring.

The German Airforce is probably wondering why you’re worked up as the iron cross is the roundel marking on their aircraft. The symbol is associated with Prussian militarism and far predates any Nazi associations in the German Military.

Do you see all cross as Iron Cross?
MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 4 months ago
No. Many of these marks are fat, dark crosses that are very similar to the Iron Cross.
