- Comment on Google Maps tests new pop-up ads that give you an unnecessary detour 4 months ago:
I’m honestly surprised it’s taken them this long. They bought Waze in 2013. I feel like Waze has been doing this kind of ad for at least that long.
- Comment on Five Men Convicted of Operating Massive, Illegal Streaming Service That Allegedly Had More Content Than Netflix, Hulu, Vudu and Prime Video Combined 5 months ago:
The group used “sophisticated computer scripts” and software to scour piracy services… for illegal copies of TV episodes, which they then downloaded and hosted on Jetflicks’ servers.
So they used some variant of Sick Beard?

- Comment on On Ash Wednesday many people look like they have an Iron Cross on their forehead. That's a bad look. 9 months ago:
Maybe that’s why the Bible reading for Ash Wednesday services has Jesus telling people to put oil on their heads and wash their faces so that their fasting may be seen not by others.
- Comment on Discovery returns to screens April 4th 9 months ago:
If nothing else, this shows that Paramount does not understand us. They’re dropping this a day before a Trek holiday, and no mention of first contact at all.

- Comment on Eh, I don't see it. 11 months ago:
The lower frame depicts AGIMUS, sentient computer with the tendency to take enslave and take over the planet. He changed his color from red to blue when trying to convince the doctors at Daystrom that he had changed.
I’d bet that the red light on murderous computer is not unintentional.
Fun fact: AGIMUS was voiced by Jeffrey Combs.

Does she use wired audio daily? Yes. Does her phone have a headphone jack? Well, no.

I’m the “kid who’s good with technology” despite being almost 40. Most of the problems I deal with are people who don’t know their passwords.
I should have listened when a younger coworker told me “never let them know that you can fix the printer.”

As long as shrink stays below what they save by removing cashiers they will stay. It may be location specific removals at high shrink stores.

Maybe they did something like Shamir’s secret sharing… So you only need a quorum of larger number of fragments of to reconstruct the whole? If you’re warp capable and able to seed humanoid life, I imagine you’ve probably built in some redundancy.
