  Yeah I was about 10 in 1990 so I got the tail end but the 80s also had a lot of scientific stuff which is why it’s better than now

  Thanks; is leaking metadata just a consequence of the decentralized nature or is it something specific to how Matrix was made? Maybe I’ll try out Signal (I’ve been looking for some alternatives) but I don’t like how they’re based in America/5 Eyes, even if they are encrypted.

  Since people don’t click through and read articles, it should be pointed out that this is specifically for the Chinese market in order for Apple to try and get back market share in China where they’ve been falling behind Huawei and others.

  Personal preference really but Debian is pretty much just Ubuntu without the bloat. You can also try a lot of them on a live disk without installing (Mint is a good option too).
