We need an alternative to YouTube that's NOT destined to be shut down quickly unlike sites like Blip, Metacafe, VIdMe, Zippcast or Storyfire. And it's NOT PeerTube.

Which would mean either a subscription model, ad model, or somewhere in between. In all cases, it’s doomed from the start because who the hell wants to deal with that when YouTube provides the same.

I’ve got a channel on peertube and I’ve never noticed any issues with the platform. It’s just the lack of content that’s an issue.
