- Comment on I would rather live in a "class system" than a "caste system" 1 week ago:
Go back 100-200 years and the western class system was exactly like the caste system.
- Comment on 1 week ago:
Where I am the lottery funds a lot of smaller museums and some other community things like that so in my mind when I buy a lottery ticket I’m donating money to those causes rather than just trying to win.
- Comment on Forget cereal bars, what's your flavor of drug in the morning? 2 weeks ago:
It’s appalling that they’re doing it but they aren’t tobacco products, they nicotine products.
- Comment on The original Cities: Skylines is getting a new Race Day expansion next week, as Paradox parade the fact the series is turning 11 2 weeks ago:
Can’t make a good sequel? Just keep selling dlc for the old game instead then
- Comment on Tiny Homes Are Big in Texas—and They’re Selling ‘Rapidly’ 4 weeks ago:
There’s no way that’s 350sqft, that place looks bigger than a terraced house in the UK and they tend to average around 700-800sqft. The price is still fucking stupid though considering the UK has a major housing crisis and an average terraced house is still £200-500 cheaper per month depending where you are.
- Comment on California’s billionaires pour cash into elections as big tech seeks new allies 4 weeks ago:
What would you suggest instead then? Communism? Theocracy? Feudalism?
- Comment on The rich oppose clean energy because it is renewable. If clean energy became non renewable, or fossil fuels became renewable, they would no longer oppose a transition to clean energy technology 1 month ago:
You realise hydrogen comes from water right? You know, the thing made of hydrogen and oxygen? H2O? Why would it come from oil?
- Comment on We need an alternative to YouTube that's NOT destined to be shut down quickly unlike sites like Blip, Metacafe, VIdMe, Zippcast or Storyfire. And it's NOT PeerTube. 1 month ago:
“what if someone hosts their own instance with offensive content?” You mean like anyone could do with Lemmy or Piefed? If that’s a reason not to use a platform then why are you here? If there’s offensive content on another instance then you defederate from it, like a lot of peertube instances have done already.
- Comment on We need an alternative to YouTube that's NOT destined to be shut down quickly unlike sites like Blip, Metacafe, VIdMe, Zippcast or Storyfire. And it's NOT PeerTube. 1 month ago:
I’ve got a channel on peertube and I’ve never noticed any issues with the platform. It’s just the lack of content that’s an issue.
- Comment on Cyberpunk 2077 VR modder doesn't rule out releasing it for free after DMCA, claims there was "no negotiation" with CD Projekt 1 month ago:
Who would’ve thought that companies don’t offer to negotiate with people who infringe on copyright. CDProjekt are already better than most companies just by supporting mods in the first place, if it was free they wouldn’t have cared but if he’s profiting off their work no shit they’re going to take it down.
- Comment on Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod flatlines, after CD Projekt file DMCA strike and request its creator drop their paywall 1 month ago:
Good. If it’s not official licenced game content it should be free, if it is official game content then put it on a real store as DLC not some random person’s Patreon page.
- Comment on Bully Online mod taken down abruptly one month after launch 1 month ago:
It’s annoying how many people think paid mods are ok now. Sim racing is full of paid mods even though they’re not just mods, they’re unlicensed copies of existing vehicles too.
- Comment on Why do we have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash soaps? 2 months ago:
“But better at all than a master of one.”
- Comment on Extending Cyberpunk 2077's pre-heist rise through the ranks would risk a "meandering, unfocused experience", argues Cyberpunk 2 director 2 months ago:
I get it, it’s the same as Colter in RDR2. Just because you’re restricted in where you can go doesn’t mean it’s a bad part of the game but at the same time people don’t want to spend half the game stuck in Watson
- Comment on Media zombies would be largely harmless if they lacked teeth and claws. 2 months ago:
I stand corrected. Idk why I thought they were lighter than that.
- Comment on Media zombies would be largely harmless if they lacked teeth and claws. 2 months ago:
Yeah but so would a lot of predators anyway. A tiger probably wouldn’t do much damage if it could just slap or gum you
- Comment on Pizza is a tomato pie. 2 months ago:
Pizza is made of pastry?
- Comment on What do drug dealers (or other criminals) do with dirty money when government replaces banknotes with new 2 months ago:
Yeah they just change it out? I used to work cash in hand for a takeaway and I’d have to put hundreds into my account every few weeks.
- Comment on Capitalism only asissts innovation for the first few years of existence. After that its a grift. 2 months ago:
In normal countries, yes regular people do get better medical care when the tech improves. The world isn’t just America.
- Comment on Capitalism only asissts innovation for the first few years of existence. After that its a grift. 2 months ago:
Ah yes that’s why North Korea was so much worse off than South Korea in the late 40s and then became so much better. Oh wait no, the capitalist south started out worse and is now better than the feudal north.
- Comment on Every TV show or movie with a story about rich people doing weird, messed up stuff is probably happening IRL to rednecks in some poduck shitberg town on a smaller scale. 2 months ago:
Is redneck drive to survive just some guys racing around on golf carts?
- Comment on Steam Replay says 2025 releases accounted for 14% of the time we've collectively spent Steamilygamening this year 2 months ago:
If Assetto Corsa Evo 0.4 hadn’t been good I probably would’ve been sitting at less than 1% of my playtime coming from new releases
- Comment on [deleted] 2 months ago:
I live near a funeral home and down the road from a church so I see them pretty often. There’s also a cemetery by my uni that means I see them there too.
- Comment on A new ‘solution’ to student homelessness: a parking lot where students can sleep safely in their cars 3 months ago:
Are their normal car parks not safe? At my uni in the UK there’s plenty of people using campers and they don’t even need to hide their setups.
- Comment on Cyberpunk 2's dev team is set to double in size by the end of 2027, hopefully meaning its cyberfoundations'll be laid by then 3 months ago:
edgerunners 2 was announced months ago already

Back when roadman was just starting to become a term I had a friend who started calling himself one, he didn’t like it when I told him it was just another version of a chav
- Comment on YouTube deleting videos documenting Israeli human rights violations 4 months ago:
No fucking shit? Why would anyone think YouTube would let any videos of murder stay up on their service? There are so many legitimate problems but this ain’t one chief
