I’ve been shopping for a dash cam. It seems like all the brands are Chinese companies except Garmin?

- Comment on Why aren't there more mice with 360° scrolling? 4 weeks ago:
After trying some more search terms combinations, I see two mice now from Microsoft that resemble the Magic Mouse. But I’m really struggling to find anything else?
What I’m not finding is my dream mouse, which would have an ergonomic design, lots of customizable physical buttons like my Logitech mouse, but with an additional 360° scrolling input (either a touch sensitive area or a trackball (sized large enough so dirt clogging wouldn’t an issue)). It just seems like an obvious product to me; I’m surprised it doesn’t seem to exist yet.

Mass migration like that occurs (from my memory at least) when the newer alternative has a much better functionality, performance, and ease of use compared to the status quo service and has a low barrier to entry (sign up is quick and straightforward). Do any of the decentralized Discord alternatives fit these criteria (honest question, not rhetorical)?
- Comment on Save as PDF 4 weeks ago:
I discovered on Macs, you can unlock a “protected” PDF this way. Just open the PDF in Safari, File > Print > Save as PDF. It outputs a PDF that’s identical, except it’s unlocked (it doesn’t get converted to a bunch of raster images).

It seems intuitive but also 2000 years ago people thought that for example the eye emitting some sort of substance that interacts with the surrounding environment to be an intuitive explanation for how vision works, so intuitions need to be tested.

For similar reasons, I feel like Gameboy Advanced cartridges were the optimal size for handheld consoles. Switch cartridges are so tiny and fragile.

I’m not sure. It was about the “turbo” button on 80s PCs, and how its function could be confusing to users depending on how it was wired. You look at the talk page and edit history there’s still a lot of arguments about this.

I once posted a Wikipedia article to r/TodayILearned, and my post went really popular. Someone a few hours later then edited the Wikipedia page to contradict my Reddit post title, reported my post to the subreddit mods, and my post got taken down.

As a kid, my family had up to 15 chihuahuas at one point. Watching them stampede as a herd across the backyard everyday was a quite majestic sight to behold.
