I am having vague nightmares of the Momte Carlo and Black Scholes sheets we would have to compile for financial engineering classes in college…

Which one is the Excel replacement and how does it compare? We all know companies buy office mostly just for excel…

It already is excluded unless the primary purpose of the bible is arousal.

If anyone was curious the reason for “cheese” is to turn black tar heroin into a snortable powder. It’s not really well known because people who buy tar smoke it or inject it and if you wanted to snort heroin you would just buy powder form, but powder used to be hard to find on the west coast until fentanyl became big.
- Comment on Has a person ever pretended to be a major Republican did a podcast interviews and everythinng else? While raking in a butt load of money? The turn around and be like HA MF's I am a liberal? 5 days ago:
I think that people have tried, but the grifting is too easy and lucrative and that makes them a Republican.

In my office the manager just sends everybody home if it is more than 30 minutes with the expectation that you probably won’t be working that day unless you have some deliverable due. I can’t imagine what it would be like if those outtages were frequent.

Sorry, didn’t realize how vague the comment was. I wish someone would turn it into a movie or miniseries. It’s still one of my favorite scifi book series.

Who is getting the contract for this waste of money?
- Comment on An alien invasion 3 weeks ago:
There is a sci fi series called the Damned Trilogy where warring space aliens stumble across humans and one faction enlists them because they are the most terrifyingly violent species they have ever stumbled upon.

- Comment on Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action 3 weeks ago:
Very true, the websites are usually pretty good about detailing what level of information is needed.
The no proof ones are usually like 5-$25, but if adds up. I just point it out because most people don’t realize that there is always a couple class actions that they can add their name to for payouts.
- Comment on Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action 3 weeks ago:
There are websites where you can sign up for class actions (a lot of them require no proof) and they make like a hundred or hundreds each year.
I would lose the checks before I cashed them probably.

- Comment on Germany's Ecosia, a nonprofit search engine, said on Thursday it has submitted a proposal to assume a 10-year stewardship of Google Chrome 4 weeks ago:
Your comment reads as if you don’t want them to offer AI, but if they do offer it then you want it to be either Opt-out or no opt out, and that you would prefer it to be a resource hungry AI at that. Is that what you meant to say? Because otherwise I don’t understand.

This makes me think of a really neat business idea… DoorCook! Where your neighbor is your personal cook! You put in an order and a price range and any “neighbors” within the area can bid on the price.
We synergize our business by avoiding all those pesky regulations like food licenses and let your meal come directly from your loving neighbor.
