The vegan I knew in college actually warned people about weight gain while she was pushing her veganism on us. “Its hard not to replace everything with carbs” was basically her spiel.

The easiest way to get this accomplished politically is to create insurance for them. Have the departments cover the base insurance rate and premium increases from settlements increase that officers insurance which (s)he has to pay out of their pay. If the insurance is unaffordable then you can no longer be a police.

Well years could be 3 years or 300 years so that doesn’t really confirm OP’s guess.
- Comment on Microsoft’s $440 billion wipeout, and investors angry about OpenAI’s debt, explained 6 days ago:
I am honestly surprised it never happened. Ma Bell got broken up in 1984, 6 years later Microsoft office is released, like 5 years later it has a dominant stranglehold. So in like a decade all of our consumer anti-trust power went away? Crazy.

He only cares about himself and the money he got from them. The better question is why all those tech billionaires supported him.
- Comment on Microsoft’s $440 billion wipeout, and investors angry about OpenAI’s debt, explained 1 week ago:
Exactly. They have like an 8 year depreciation, but they supposedly become obsolete in a couple of years for whatever cutting edge AI is supposed to be.

When someone makes a better version of excel that’s cross platform and not solely web based will be the final nail in the Microsoft coffin.

Some enterprising teenager should offer to upgrade peoples PCs to Linux, especially as Windows 11 is pushed harder. They could even offer a tech support option for a yearly fee.
- Comment on At what point do you consider a person an alcoholic? 2 weeks ago:
I define it solely on physical dependence. So it’s whether someone can and does go two days or more in a row without alcohol. If you can’t/won’t do that, then that’s the tell.
- Comment on The $20 USD bill is the new 5$ bill 2 weeks ago:
I want 20 dollar coins too. If you take inflation from early 1800s to now the dollar coin would be worth more.
Someone could probably successfully pitch this to Trump with. “We waste so much money on printing bills, coins last forever” “paper money is so dirty” “We could shut down the Denver mint once we have enough coins made” “They will all be plated in gold type material” “we will put your face on the 20 coin, everybody will see your face forever everyday”
… On second thought maybe don’t pitch it to him
- Comment on The $20 USD bill is the new 5$ bill 2 weeks ago:
I used them. We had a drink dispenser on a college campus that would dispense Sacagawea coins as change and I would feed spare change and get my dollars back and save them until I had enough to make a coin purse like a pirate and go spend them at the bar.
