Unfortunately my toddler doesn’t have the same reading interests as I… I also don’t know if I could handle listening to my own voice.

Yeah, but is there anything that’s not >$100/month to transcribe one book worth of audio?

Is there a public tool to turn a book into an audiobook now?

Why not too old? I bought 4 gen 4 & 5 kindles off ebay for like $20 on purpose. I hate backlights and they still work great.

Is this the country the Princess Diaries are based on?
- Comment on What keeps Americans from being mad about the state of their country? 5 days ago:
Because a third of Americans are uninformed, another third is misinformed and thinks the current administration is in line with their goals, the other third is being gaslit by the other 2/3s that this is normal… And for those not buying the gaslighting, they are ignored and still too small of a group to do much.

I don’t see how it’s the same. In real life I could just walk away and be done with it. Online they can just generate another account and insert themselves right before you.
If people could teleport or create avatars endlessly to try to talk to me in real life I would eventually just wear head phones and pretend to listen to them until they got bored.

Probably because if they consumed it the same regularity/frequency it would be just as toxic. Kavalactones will build up in your liver with daily use.
- Comment on Man who lost $780 million in Bitcoin in a landfill now wants to buy the entire dump before city closes the site 1 week ago:
I messed around with bitcoin in like 2011. It seemed valueless because there were very few USD markets for it. Anyway I used to play a game where every action was a gambling mechanic in full bitcoin. Want to kick a coconut tree? It costs 1 BTC and 0-4 will drop. I had 100s of BTC at one point.
Anyway the computer had issues and then the hard drive was taken by a family member. I don’t get too upset thinking about them because I would have just spent them once they had real value.

Well you could always buy a 40Lb box of seed from a wholesale restaurant website… Wash them for the fun, then plant what’s washed. Just a lot of work… Although if the planted bloom it may be worth it.

If you’re not in the US, they sell dried pods for decorative boquet arrangement that would have a fair amount of dried latex inside. People just use a water/lemon juice wash to extract the goodies.
Cab be dangerous stuff for novices, they can very in strength wildly, and a few kids have actually OD on “poppy tea”.

I would easily pay as you go for high quality news if it were truly a “micro” transaction. Like a few penniea or less per article.

Well i think you can also torrent off of there too. There are massive backup files on their home page that they are basically begging people to download and seed… So maybe it’s that?

Those are torrents, Annas Archive is typically used for direct downloads.

Neat. I think I am going to try Cyberpunk next because it was recommended twice here and Outer Worlds 2 comes out this year… So I am assuming there will be a price drop for the first one.
