- Comment on Tesla must face fraud suit for claiming its cars could fully drive themselves 2 days ago:
Maybe, but you could easily argue that no reasonable CEO would make such claims. And any company that size should have levels of review and therefore liability if they were people who clearly knew it was false.
- Comment on People are realizing celebrities are unnecessary 6 days ago:
There is a big protest that originated on Tiktok called block party, where everyone blocks all the celebrities. Kim n them already lost millions of followers on Instagram, Tiktok, etc.

What’s the tariffs? I tried to Google it, but I only got served a bunch of ads for phones.
- Comment on Stack Overflow bans users en masse for rebelling against OpenAI partnership — users banned for deleting answers to prevent them being used to train ChatGPT 1 week ago:
The company’s get hit hard by unplanned vacancies. It won’t take them down, but it can cost them buckets of money in either expenses, lost revenue or both. The thing is, the people that left will never know that, there coworkers will never see it, only people in finance and budget will know how to quantify the impact.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, but they still were below what the market would bear price wise. Until the very last price increases, if you counted up all of the biggest service fees, it was still lower than the average cable bill like almost a decade before.

Didn’t they just discover a new brain component recently?

They completely missed the point, as if they didn’t even bother reading the summary. She literally says these people have always been around, it’s just that AI is making being an asshole easier.

At least they’re grown!
- Comment on Google lays off hundreds of 'Core' employees, moves some positions to India and Mexico 2 weeks ago:
I already made this comment on a completely different post, but it’s funny to see it’s fruition. McDonald’s executives bitching that fast food price increases have priced a lot of their low income customers off their menu… like they had no hand in it
- Comment on So we currently have all these left wing folks claiming men are more dangerous than bears, why is the same group pushing multi gender washrooms so hard? 2 weeks ago:
How many men are specifically on federal protected wildlands or parks?
If you want to compare it your way, then fine. There are ~40 bear attacks globally and 427,500 murders committed by men. There are ~2,000x more men than bears globally. So adjusting, the bear murder rate is 80,000, meaning men are still more than 5x more likely to murder you.
- Comment on So we currently have all these left wing folks claiming men are more dangerous than bears, why is the same group pushing multi gender washrooms so hard? 2 weeks ago:
There is an average of 3 deaths by bears accross North America per year, meanwhile 300 people are estimated to be murdered on federal wilds and national parks.
- Comment on People left seriously creeped out after woman shares how to find out everything Google knows about you 2 weeks ago:
That’s the funniest shit about this late stage capitalism. I just read somewhere that like a third of McDonald’s customer base have been historically low income, and they just figured out a almost half of them have been priced out of their menu…
- Comment on Tesla Exodus Continues As Top HR Exec Leaves After Brutal Job Cuts 2 weeks ago:
I wouldn’t hold your breath. His worth could be decimated 50 times over and he would still be worth a billion dollars. He has enough money and will to influence politics and has a weird fan base to boot. Also, for someone who claims to be an autistic person who dislikes people, he sure seems to be a massive attention whore.
I don’t foresee him fading into obscurity anytime soon, unfortunately.

Selling. Companies make worthless concept designs all the time

I think of it as a subscription service… managers shouldn’t remind employees on the deals of their labor subscription. Because they could easily look at the market and decide to cancel for a more favorable labor subscription deal.

- Comment on Scientists Are Trying to Coax the Ocean to Absorb More CO2 2 weeks ago:
Maybe we could stop fucking dredging the ocean? I feel like most people missed this statistic… but ocean dredging is likely around the equivalent C02 output of the entire aviation industry.

I don’t like the great divide. We get almost no Chinese culture, and it just feels like both nation states are trying to cultivate a West V East narrative for ideological control purposes…

- Comment on Japanese police create fake support scam payment cards to warn victims 2 weeks ago:
Ugh, you gave me PTSD from my prior life as a retail manager. No one ever believes it’s a scam! If the person wasn’t a complete dick I would often call the cops over (the station was literally right behind our store). The cops almost always got through to them, I honestly think some people only didn’t get scammed because they thought they would get in trouble with the police for doing so.
No sir, your grandson isn’t in jail. And even if he were, no jail takes Google Play cards as bail payment…

- Comment on Biden expected to sign the TikTok ban on Wed. 3 weeks ago:
This is my point when people say “it’s just getting sold, don’t worry”. Yeah I am sure after Google, FB or Steven Mnuchin’s investor group buys it I will still see all the pro Palestine stuff in my feed…
- Comment on Senate passes TikTok ban bill, sending it to Biden, who has already committed to signing it 3 weeks ago:
It will be a different product for the consumer, so it’s effectively a Tiktok ban in my eyes…
You think all my Palestinian and adjacent Tiktokers will still be in my feed once it’s sold?
- Comment on Senate passes TikTok ban bill, sending it to Biden, who has already committed to signing it 3 weeks ago:
I actually don’t think they can name the company directly. If I remember right that’s unconstitutional.
- Comment on Tesla’s in its flop era 3 weeks ago:
I thought you nailed it, but then I read past the first sentence. Tesla is failing in China because they can’t compete with price. Even a lot of the luxury models are now cheaper than a Tesla.

I wonder how much cheaper it will make auto insurance. I also wonder if this will open transportation options those who have lost a license.
