Yeah wow 2015 how impressive
- Comment on alternatives to lemm.ee? 3 days ago:
This is exactly what I was hoping to find. I typically browse through all and picked lemm.ee for their moderation style.
I’m sad to see it go.
- Comment on Is lemm.we actually shutting down? 3 days ago:
I do typically browse by all so lemmy.dbzer0.com may be the better option. I like how lemm.ee wasn’t defederated from that many instances
- Comment on Is lemm.we actually shutting down? 3 days ago:
Anyone have suggestions for similar instances?
I assume my user account will also go down? I’m new to the lemmy community so I don’t know how this would interfere with me being able to comment and post on other instances from this account

I think there’s a difference between prepared food and processed food. It can be a blurry line though.
Maybe it is just being European though. American food standards are trash. The stuff allowed in our food is insane
- Comment on The solution to many problems 5 days ago:
This is a bit disingenuous. When listed like that on food it’s because all of those were added in individually to create an ultra processed amalgamation resembling food. Otherwise ingredients would just say bannana.
Processed foods have been clinically shown to be harmful to us. Bannanas seem to be okay

We need a corporate death penalty. If your company murders people it should be dismantled and sold off.
I’d love it if the senior executives also faced charges, but I’d compromise

My good friend Bill Dillon himself in friends homes and leaves the shit covered object under their couch.

Archaeologist here, maybe it’s just new wave training but widely taught that it’s not an easy task to sex skeletons on morphology alone.
Sure some features appear more commonly amongst men and some more commonly amongst women, but there is considerable overlap.
Pelvis are generally identifiable, but the bio-archaeologists I know prefer to say the skeleton displays female characteristics without providing a definitive biological sex. They have to have some great evidence before claiming for certain.
Also fun fact, you can’t measure this morphology when there’s still skin and muscle fucking attached.

Construction or archeology?
- Comment on Hotel prices 1 month ago:
It really depends. Holiday Inn Express can run close to 115-125 depending on location and nearby events. And there are certainly a lot of hotels under 100.
But if you’re anywhere near a decent metro under 100 is basically non-existent

Shame, I have strong opinions around Discovery. Mostly because every episode is “fate of the universe” and character development arcs usually fizzle our with little actual change in the characters

- Comment on What's your favorite Pokémon Game? 2 months ago:
Fire red will always be my number one as it was my first game.
Otherwise it’s a hard choice between Sapphire and Heartgold. Both had great regions and lots to do.
My most played would be Diamond and it was good, but sinnoh was never my favorite region.

Oddly enough it kinda does. OT can make you pay out more taxes on that one check since withholdings are calculated by check. Basically the government/payroll system thinks you’re going to be making that every week so more taxes will be taken out.
In reality this only effects the size of your tax bill or return at the end of the year.
