- Comment on Shortly After Xbox Game Pass Prices Spiked, the Page to Cancel Game Pass Subscriptions Was Overwhelmed 2 days ago:
Consumer boycotts are pretty much the only strategy guaranteed to work, the only exceptions being Facebook and Google, as they’re the only businesses I can think of that are both primarily B2B, and can operate on speculative liquidity
- Comment on Shortly After Xbox Game Pass Prices Spiked, the Page to Cancel Game Pass Subscriptions Was Overwhelmed 2 days ago:
Netflix Spotify Disney and Amazon proved that price hikes are effective at increasing profits even despite the loss of subscribers. Capitalism baby.
I think the only time collective cancellations actually hurt one of these companies was that time Jimmy Kimmel made fun of the president and it took an estimated 1.7M ex-Disney Plus subscribers.

They introduced this in the EU a couple years ago (because laws). They make it really hard to discover and i’ve never met a single person who subscribes

They even kept separate layouts for the online mode, which takes place a year(?) or more before the campaign. Genuinely astounding amount of effort the 99.999% won’t notice

Were they ever asked how this would have any effect on illegal immigration?
- Comment on Qualcomm unveil the Snapdragon X2 Elite and Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme, the fastest and most efficient processors for Windows PCs 1 week ago:
I mean, that’s how qualcomm does business. For as long as they’ve existed, they’ve made ridiculous comparisons about their newest chip against Apple’s. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twenty times, shame on me again because I should’ve learned 19 times ago

Did they mess up? Seemed like any issues they had were Windows related

- Comment on ChatGPT joins human league, now solves CAPTCHAs for the right prompt: Could this bot-prevention technique now be obsolete? 2 weeks ago:
I’ve had a captcha solver browser extension for as long as captchas existed. Anyone believing reCaptcha’s claim that it was ever about bot prevention is a goddamn moron
- Comment on TikTok To Be Sold To Trump’s Right Wing Billionaire Buddies And Converted Into A Propaganda Mill 2 weeks ago:
You dismissed sinophobia by admitting you dismiss the existence of sinophobia. Both in your first comment, and your most recent one.
If you recognized the sinophobia pointed out to you, your comment would invalidate itself. It seems, however, that you are unable and/or unwilling to do so, which takes away credibility from the rest of your claims.

You should read the comment you replied to then. Or is it your own you’re confused about?

- Comment on Keir Starmer sacks Mandelson as US ambassador over Epstein ties 3 weeks ago:
I hate how they’re going with the “over Epstein ties” horseshit in almost every headline. Being a pedophile isn’t enough of a reason for these roaches, he was fired over the bad publicity coming his was from the public finding out that the prime minster knew all along

- Comment on Why is Lemmy much better with telling a user why they were banned? 3 weeks ago:
Yeah ₙₒ. The few times I’ve been banned or had my comment removed on reddit, I was told that it happened. On Lemmy, the reason listed is just as obscure and esoteric, but you have to seek it out yourself to even know it happened
