I legitimately know a woman who’s divorcing her husband, finding out he was a Trump supporter was the final straw. They’ve been in a rough spot for the last year or so, he doesn’t cook/clean at all.
She was going to leave him a year ago but tried to make it work, finding out he was a secret Trumper sealed the deal for her.

The body is Rottweiler-sized, segmented into overlapping hard plates like those of a rhinoceros. The legs are long, curled way up to deliver power, like a cheetah’s. It must be the tail that makes people refer to it as a Rat Thing, because that’s the only ratlike part - incredibly long and flexible.
The grass under the Rat Thing is beginning to smoke.
“Careful. Supposedly they have really nasty isotopes inside,” Hiro says behind her… “A radioactive substance that makes heat. That’s its energy source.”
“How do you turn it off?”
“You don’t. It keeps making heat until it melts.”
The body converges to a sharp nose. In the front it bends down sharply, and there is a black canopy, raked sharply like the windshield of a fighter plane. If the Rat Thing has eyes, this is where it looks out.
As part of Mr. Lee’s good neighbor policy, all Rat Things are programmed never to break the sound barrier in a populated area. But Fido’s in too much of a hurry to worry about the good neighbor policy. Jack the sound barrier. Bring the noise.

100% spot on, pump and dumps are especially rampant in crypto because a couple of people can generate a ton of coins and own the entire market for that coin. If they can get that price to rise even just a fractional amount through whatever completely unregulated means they can dump it to the suckers buying and cash out. It’s like printing money but the printing presses are stupid people.

They should’ve just read the owners manual (and hoped their car was equipped with an emergency release) not my fault they’re lazy.

Actually they’re closer to strange animals, which just reinforces just how neat they are!

$600 gets you 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. You can get better hardware for less.
- Comment on Apple’s first Mac mini redesign in 14 years looks like a big aluminum Apple TV 3 weeks ago:
Why care when we talk about desktops?
Because it’s $600 and velcroing an external HDD to a nice new sleek piece of hardware makes it look ugly. Typical Apple bullshit, I’m surprised they didn’t develop another proprietary connector.

Different jobs receive training. The K9 unit in the back of a city cops patrol car is a different dog than the one sniffing out shoebombs at LAX.

Yeah she was kind of known as not being very smart but otherwise she’s been relatively un-scandalous afaik.

Not uncommon at all to find religious BS in those little libraries. I haven’t come across any porn yet

I’m afraid if they listed things that didn’t require effort and one of those things was effort I’d have to take up the entire time trying to get them to explain how effort doesn’t require effort

And it supports competition against a locked down Windows-only gaming ecosystem that restricts Valve/Steams potential market. This is a great move for anyone interested in gaming or Linux.

Russia as well, lots of former soviet states. I used to talk to a Latvian maths student who was adamant it was the access to free/cheap higher education and poor job prospects.

At the end of the day it’s all about class.
Skin color or (perceived) gender affect how someone is seen and treated but money is the great equalizer in America.

I’m not sure the shows glorified war. Are you of the opinion that history should be ignored and swept under the rug or do we agree it should be studied and understood?
One could argue that telling people every ancient thing we don’t understand was actually built by aliens is worse, at least the shows about war are based on fact.
- Comment on We lost Keanu 1 month ago:
Used to be some really good shit on there that would teach you interesting history.
It was even better when it was just the WWII channel 24/7.
