It USED to be a decent source for news and updates on stuff but that’s long gone. I deleted my account just before that weird billionaire guy bought it and don’t regret it one bit.
- Comment on The fact that some humans can shove an entire large pizza inside themselves is both amazing and terrifying 4 hours ago:
Yup pretty much. When I’m working and doing a lot I eat like a horse, but days I don’t do much I don’t eat much either. And I haven’t gained weight in over 30 years despite people telling me otherwise. (Well, a little but mostly muscle mass… I was 165 at 16 and in my 50’s I’m 180 now with the same 31" waist.)

As one of those that easily destroy an XL pizza in one go… why is that terrifying?
I Mean, overall I don’t eat all that much… I never eat breakfast and very rarely eat lunch, so one meal a day for me (historically a very active person) has to be large to make up for the times I don’t have time to stop and eat. So it takes at least a large pizza or like two boxes of Mac & cheese to even come close to refilling my fuel tank.

They probably won’t get rid of elections… they’ll just have sham elections like Russia has to give the impression of “legitimacy” but I guarantee they’ll be heavily rigged in their favor.
- Comment on Why are laptop adapters so much larger than phone adapters of same power rating? 3 weeks ago:
My guess is it’s similar to the electric motors they put in cars vs industrial motors… they can both put out X amount of power but the industrial ones (or in this case the laptop power) can do it continuously without overheating while the other can only output “up to” that power rating for a short time without burning up.

I think so although I haven’t tried it yet. I’ve only done bagels, raisin bread, and normal bread so far.

I believe it was Denuvo that was the issue. The cracked version with denuvo stripped from it worked without a hiccup and ran smooth.

That’s far Cry 6 for me. Bought it off the epic site when it first came out and it didn’t work because of the drm. (Needed sse 4.3? which my old assed pc doesn’t have.)
Downloaded a cracked torrent, worked like a charm.

That’s the first thing I did with all my Frank Zappa cds… converted them to digital and put the cds away so they wouldn’t end up scratched.

Potatoes work with nearly everything. I get 50 pound boxes of Potatoes locally for $25 and it’s rare a box lasts more than a month in my house, from hashbrowns to fries, baked, and even soups. Nothing can really replace them as far as I’m concerned.
- Comment on How do recommend eating this? 6 months ago:
Reminds me of a joke I heard…
Kid goes to his father, Dad what does a vagina look like?"
Dad: “Before sex or after sex?”
Kid: “uh… before sex.”
Dad: “Like a rose, with all it’s pedals in full bloom”
kid: thinks for a second. “huh ok. What about after sex?”
Dad “Ever see a bulldog eating mayonnaise?”

Pro-hamas
Huh, whaddyaknow, there’s that lie again.
“No Mr Netanyahu, it is not antisemitic or pro-Hamas to point out that, in a little over six months, your extremist government has killed over 34,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 78,000, 70% of whom are women and children,” theguardian.com/…/bernie-sanders-benjamin-netanya…

Ya I’ve seen a bunch of this blatant bullshit spreading lately trying to re-frame the protests as being pro hamas when anyone with half a brain knows otherwise. Isreal’s pr team must be working overtime.

For me it was “Battlezone”. I spent hours shooting little squares at fuzzy rectangles that somewhat resembled tanks and loved every minute of it.
- Comment on Men over 30, have you ever been in a legit confrontation with a stranger? 6 months ago:
Quite a few times, but for context I grew up in a sort of biker/trucker social circle and I tend to speak my mind sometimes more than maybe I should. I do try to be a good person though and don’t try to get in anyone’s face unless they deserve it.
I guess the last time was a few years back having a smoke outside a bar. Some guy was aggressively hitting on my unofficially daughter (ex girlfriends kid) which was fine in itself until he started getting grabby with her so I pinned him against a wall and threatened to put him out of my misery. He calmed down fairly quickly after that and left.

I used to have a nice pair of gorilla slippers for years until my old dog ate one. I can’t find a replacement for them due to my shoe size.
He has also destroyed regular shoes, a tv remote, wireless keyboard and mouse, a dog training book, and part of a door frame. (among other less consequential things.)
He was a big dog, (130+lbs) The teething phase was especially rough for all of us. My other dog actually took to hiding her favorite toys from him to avoid the furry shredder.

- Comment on Russia says Western envoys at Navalny funeral meddling in Russia 8 months ago:
I don’t know if it’s true or not (probably not considering the source, or at the least overblown) but there absolutely should be more meddling in russian affairs. After all, that seems to be all they know how to do to others.
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
