I think it’s a perfect use case, that and UV unwrapping and texturing. Stuff thats tedious, and nobody likes doing.
For chat, you limit it to a character. It’s not like chatgpt where you can prompt it to say anything.

Conversation is honestly one of the places I think AI would excel at. You can have more interesting conversations instead of the same 5 phrases over and over.

Anybody who calls themselves apolitical doesn’t recognize how much politics affects us, and in my book, thay makes you kinda dumb.
- Comment on I am an American. I used to be proud of my country. Now it feels like a turd circling the drain. Is there anything going on behind the scene that America is actually doing good in? 6 days ago:
Yeah, I am too. But, I don’t need people calling me names for not risking my neck to kill people.

The amount of venom in this thread is astounding. I’m close to leaving lemmy. The amount of hate people are spewing for shit that’s not our fault is starting to get old.
- Comment on Jensen Huang says gamers are 'completely wrong' about DLSS 5 — Nvidia CEO responds to DLSS 5 backlash 1 week ago:
You do know the games themselves generally choose the type of anti-aliasing used right? Your graphics card doesn’t run anti-aliasing ontop of everything else.
- Comment on Without a hint of irony, Russia mocks US for 'miscalculating' Iran war 1 week ago:
Right…we made them amass 100,000 troops on the Ukrainian border and them attack using Jedi mind tricks… gimme a break.

though he did so with the use of further antisemitic tropes by suggesting that the U.S. and NATO campaign against ISIS had been “manufactured by Israel.”
Oh, so it’s antisemitic to say anything negative about Israel now. Got it.

It’s just typical gamers being hyper picky. We used to rant and rave about 16-bit graphics. N64 graphics were cutting edge when the system came out. And now we’re not happy unless the game has hyper realistic graphics, open world, and an amazing riveting story. It’s annoying.
The goal posts for a good game are always moving. Seems impossible to satisfy people today. And that’s nothing to do with AI.

I dislike AI just as much as the next person, but I don’t get all the hate for this image. It looks fine.

I don’t know why I wasted my time responding to you in the first place. Your post history indicates you’re an insufferable person.
Your obsession with constantly shitting on Americans is pathetic.
- Comment on Iran includes American tech giants on list of new targets 1 week ago:
I didn’t do anything to you. Why so much venom? You really thing I can do something against the U.S. government? They rolled up to Venezuela and kidnapped their president like it was child’s play. What makes you think there’s anything I can personally do to them. It doesn’t matter how angry I am, they’re still the ones with the bombs.

You’re putting an awful lot of words in my mouth that I didn’t say.

I don’t do either of those things anymore. I barely want to stand for the national anthem. Our military worship in this country is basically taken on a cult like energy.

Yeah, taxes are supposed to support services for people living in a country. Their comment is exceptionally dumb.

Well that just sounds insane. Why would valve also need a license? Its the game developers who need to work out an arrangement to use their music.

There is a proposal in my state from 2025 that seems to have been referred to ENERGY, whatever that means, but it hasn’t gone anywhere. Wtf does it take over a year to vote on these stupid bills.
- Comment on Discord Users Threaten Exodus Over Age Verification Face Scan Controversy 1 month ago:
Thanks for the tips! I only just downloaded Matrix. (Element X) to my phone. I’ll have to do some more research on it. I personally could probably set up my own instance if I had to, work it to me, probably not. I mostly use discord for game jam hosting these days, and DnD with my friends. So, if the level of effort is high, or the barrier to entry isn’t low, I don’t imagine ill get a lot of people switching over to the new space. I guess we’ll see what happens.
- Comment on Discord Users Threaten Exodus Over Age Verification Face Scan Controversy 1 month ago:
I’m not threatening, I’m gonna do it. We’ll see how my game jams go after this. I doubt my entire community will follow me.
