- Comment on My apartment building gives me free water but I pay for electricity. What if I run the faucet nonstop and rig up a hydro turbine in my bathtub to generate my power from it? 1 day ago:
That’s a really stupid way to do it, you connect the water turbine directly to the faucet. Why water all the tap water pressure.

Because this is a shakedown, its has NOTHING to do with actually stopping the ACR privacy invasion. At no point will Texas actually do anything to stop the issue. They simple telling those companies to pay them off.

Although times are changing, this wasn’t just a him thing. This was strongly enforced by mothers and girlfriends, etc. also.
I was talking to a friend about it. It was so bad in college in the eighties, her dorm had a communal bathroom for the floor. Girls wouldn’t poop if another girl was in there. They’d come back in the middle of the night

I absolutely love when people troll (internationally or not) by mentioning Uhura/Kirk as TV’s first interracial kiss. It makes me giggle to see these extremely “well actually” pedantic responses. Yours is great! Do you have that saved as a copy paste?
Do you have one for Rosa Parks? You might be surprised to learn she wasn’t the first. She was “chosen” as flag bearer for the fight because she had a cleaner image.

Tell me you know nothing about Star Trek without telling me.
ST broke so many cultural barriers, nothing else in its time period even comes close. Other than that they wore uniforms almost nothing is militaristic. It was a science vessel not a warship. Money and capitalism were virtually non-existent and when they did show up, they were ridiculed. I could go on, but you should learn for yourself.

A lot of blue collar workers went straight to the bar after work 3-4 days a week.
I did sheet metal back in the 90’s for a year. Typical day… start at 6, off at 2:30, bar from 3-5. Pretty much everyday.
