Sriracha isn’t exactly sour but it pairs really well with other sweet stuff.
One of my favourite snacks is some sour jam (lemon, berries, rhubarb, etc) with a healthy dollop of sriracha on bread.
The mix between fruits and garlic kinda feel like Durian if it had no smell.

I’m glad I don’t live in a federal country where rights vary by state.
I’m basically in France’s Midwest except it’s more left leaning.

Where are you?
Seeing the prices I’d guess some 3rd tier city in the usa?

And I’m living in a metropolis of 750 souls in buttfuck France.

My family and I bought a 250m² house for less than 50k. (2yrs ago)

Where I’m from (France) this is how you pay deposits for rentals.
We also have “bank cheques” for big expenses like houses.
Paying with cheques in regular shops is getting rarer, often requires providing two ID, and gets you weird looks. Debit cards have mostly replaced that usage.
We don’t really have credit cards afaik.
- Comment on Today's Survey. One point for everything that you have NEVER DONE 3 months ago:
Yeah this one is pretty niche nowadays.
I did it for my nephews because I found it funny to give them time capsules of what kind of music was broadcasted when they were born. And cassettes are a good medium for long time storage :p

Yeah I was thinking about renting physical copies not streaming.

I’d count digital ones as well.
That’s how I didn’t get the point since none of my leatherback encyclopedias is a complete set (yay backyard sales).
Like a getting movies in a public library can count as renting at Blockbusters imho?
- Comment on Today's Survey. One point for everything that you have NEVER DONE 3 months ago:
0 points if you count public libraries as “blockbuster adjacent” and I’m only a year older than you.

I’d assume it’s the floppy one but same lol

- Comment on Israel publicly announces genocidal intent 3 months ago:
Only that their aim, living in their own country can be seen as political.
I’d say it is political. As much as any other human rights are.
If anything, the US/Isntreal military ticks all the boxes.
Amen
OK, but terrorism is most certainly not a neutral term.
I agree it isn’t in the cultural zeitgeist. But I’m genuinely trying to argue that it kinda should be.
e.g. the IRA were based terrorists.
Is it partly because it involves targeting civilians? Of course.
Is it because it can be effective in the context of asymmetric warfare? I’d say probably.
- Comment on Israel publicly announces genocidal intent 3 months ago:
I think you’re missing my point and that we pretty much agree beside some semantics.
What I meant is that terrorism is a somewhat neutral term for me.
Luigi Mangione, the IRA, or even the resistance against Nazis during WWII were terrorists imho. But would I say any of these are evil? Fuck no.
What makes it ok or evil is why you do it.
- Comment on Israel publicly announces genocidal intent 3 months ago:
How is it not terrorism?
Using violence on civilians to further political goals.
What Israel is doing is terrorism too.
One can be seen as self defence and the last resort beside being deported or killed. The other is to pacify a population that’s being genocided.

The jews were very much a main quest.
Alongside the slavs, romani, gays, etc

I didn’t consider that. It’s very common for people with ADHD to forget eating and overuse whatever CNS stimulant is readily available.
- Comment on But they are two bangin shirts 4 months ago:
It’s not specifically men’s fault.
It’s partriarchy’s and - its pendant - misogyny’s fault. People that pass as men do benefit from them and thus tend to manifest them more but they’re baked in the whole society.
People that aren’t men can internalize thoses biases too. Women enforcing other women wearing a shit ton of different outfits are manifesting internalized misogyny.
I’d argue that there’s also a dash of classism sprinkled on top of it because it seems more of an issue in bourgeois (or at least bourgeois affiliated) settings. I wear safety clothes and PPEs in the shop so not much variety here and there’s no issue if I wear the same outfit I like with friends.
And even at that patriarchy hurts even the “regular-est” cis straight white men. All that shit about “being a real man”, promoting risky behaviours, shutting down all emotions, etc aren’t good for anyone…
I hope you had an at least ok day c:

I for one would be stocked.
Fancy dude clothes look awesome on anyone that isn’t me \o
- Comment on But they are two bangin shirts 4 months ago:
I don’t usually anticipate a random garment to become my favourite.
I try to stock up when it happens but sometimes I can’t find any at a price I’m willing (or able) to pay.
Having hippie grandma tastes and trying my damnest to buy mostly used clothes don’t help either.
Otoh I’m getting real good at mending clothes until they fall apart. I have very low standards for home clothes.
