- Comment on Diablo 4's new mount costs more than the actual game 8 months ago:
And I’m sure several whales have already bought several
- Comment on Ubisofts customer values 10 months ago:
It’s 100% moral to pirate Ubisoft games. I exclusively play Anno, since 2070 I DON’T pirate them.
I love the series, but I’d be happy if Ubisoft went belly-up tomorrow and never saw another game in the series. It’s a fair exchange to see a bloated, rotting corpse of a monster finally die.
- Comment on Elon Musk's X claims it's now a 'video-first platform' as it tries to reverse an advertiser exodus that has cost it billions in value 10 months ago:
I never, ever see any actual ads anymore. It’s either some dude with an Indian dude smiling saying “Hello!” or the same exact ass picture from “Hailey201238712985723” or “Jonah9018328412873” advertising the same porn site. No advertiser worth their salt would ever advertise on Elon’s Twitter.
- Comment on Disney backs down from 'Steamboat Willie' YouTube copyright claim 10 months ago:
I actually didn’t expect Disney to respect public domain. Everyone 100% has the right to absolutely shit on them for strangling copyright law all these years, though.
- Comment on Pornhub blocks North Carolina and Montana as porn regulation spreads 10 months ago:
Republicans doing a real good job giving a peak into what voting Red will do for them this year
- Comment on SSD prices predicted to skyrocket throughout 2024 — TrendForce market report projects a 50% price hike | Tom's Hardware 10 months ago:
PC part prices are already extremely high, how in the hell can anyone build or buy anything with prices so high?
- Comment on Amazon Prime Video will start showing ads on January 29th unless you pay extra for ad-free 10 months ago:
Amazon has turned to utter shit these days. They’ve been requiring you to show your ID to get a refund. Getting asked by some Indian dude who I can barely understand a picture of my government issued ID sure doesn’t feel comforting.
- Comment on Hyperloop One to Shut Down After Failing to Reinvent Transit 10 months ago:
Invest in actual public transportation: I sleep
Invest in an overly expensive alternative to trains: REAL SHIT
- Comment on Epic win: Jury decides Google has illegal monopoly in app store fight 11 months ago:
Fuck both of those companies, but overall a good ruling.
- Comment on Top 50 defederated instances 11 months ago:
If the FBI are on here, they’d better work harder
- Comment on this AI thing 11 months ago:
I’ve noticed that too. I recall seeing an article of it detailing how to create a nuclear reactor David Hahn style. I don’t doubt that they’re making it dumber to get people to buy premium now.
- Comment on Microsoft Will Charge for Windows 10 Security Updates in 2025 11 months ago:
The Microsoft Blogpost keeps mentioning customers and I’ve seen it mentioned a few times in this thread, but it almost seems like they’re gearing this towards businesses and not 100% average consumers. Then again, they do mention 365 subscribers so maybe they are. Either way it’s such a waste that an OS would shutter anti-virus support for anyone who doesn’t pay a subscription.
Also, a ton of people here keep saying how this will drive users to Linux. No, no it wont. It isn’t the first shitty thing that Microsoft has done to their OS, and it won’t be the last. Older and average people won’t take time out of their day to swap OS’s and learn terminals.
- Comment on YouTube warns it might make your viewing experience worse if you don't turn off your ad-blocker 11 months ago:
Wonder how much money they’ve wasted trying to block the blockers
- Comment on YouTube Says New 5-Second Video Load Delay Is Supposed to Punish Ad Blockers, Not Firefox Users 11 months ago:
More than happy to wait
- Comment on TikTok says it’s not the algorithm, teens are just pro-Palestine — The company denied allegations that it has been promoting pro-Palestine content in an effort to sway American opinion 11 months ago:
The entire point of an app like TikTok is to stir stories and headlines so they get more clicks. Everything is for the algorithm.
- Comment on YouTube is increasing Premium prices in multiple countries, right after an ad-blocker crackdown | You either pay rightfully for the video content you consume, or you live with the ads. 1 year ago:
A few months ago I was thinking about getting YouTube premium. It’s a platform I’m on everyday and have been using it for years. But they decided to block adblockers and increase prices, so they can go fuck themselves.
- Comment on Stop using Fandom 1 year ago:
I’ve always advocated against using Fandom. Not much customization and so many ads it makes the platform downright unusable.
A much better alternative is Wiki.gg, created by some of the original founders of Fandom.

They should also warn that they’ll spit in your food too.
- Comment on Meta faces permanent ban on targeted ads across Europe 1 year ago:
I can’t wait for Facebook to take the time and energy to make two different versions of their platform. One to adhere to the EU regulations, and the other for everyone else that harvests every last bit of data.
- Comment on YouTube is now fully blocking ad blockers around the world 1 year ago:
Ublock was triggering mine, odd that it doesn’t trigger for others
- Comment on I wish 1 year ago:
Still some of YandereDev’s best code
- Comment on YouTube is now fully blocking ad blockers around the world 1 year ago:
Vanilla Brave blocks ads and doesn’t show the blocker. Ublock & Better YouTube will cause it to trigger. Tampermonkey script prevents the blocker from appearing after disabling/enabling Ublock for a video or two.
Fuck YouTube and Google. They make enough money selling my data.
- Comment on New evidence confirms COVID-19 vaccines are overwhelmingly safe 1 year ago:
If this is trying to convince skeptics, it’ll do nothing. They’ll go back to Nancy on Facebook and exclaim how they’re putting 5G crystal-infused microchips into your body to turn you into a sky person. Literally nothing will convince the antivax.
- Comment on The pirates are back - Anew study from the European Union’s Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) suggest that online piracy has increased for the first time in years. In fact, piracy rates have bee... 1 year ago:
Need a subscription to +5 services to see all the content & shows. Ads being forced into paid services. Unfinished AAA games now cost +$70 USD. All games now have battlepasses and FOMO.
All I need is one VPN subscription.
- Comment on Petition Calls on Microsoft to Extend Windows 10 Support | PCMag 1 year ago:

- Comment on Elon Musk gives X employees one year to replace your bank - ‘You won’t need a bank account... it would blow my mind if we don’t have that rolled out by the end of next year.’ 1 year ago:
Company money? This sounds like company money.
- Comment on Microsoft and Alphabet results show Wall Street only cares about AI 1 year ago:
AI is another one of those tech fabs that’ll fade away, but not like blockchain and NFTs. There’s money to be made because people are excited, but it’s use-cases are much more complicated.
AI is a fantastic tool for creators, including programmers with Copilot. But it isn’t a full-blown replacement for workers quite yet. A lot of capitalists are really excited to slash their workforce in half, sure, but they’re utterly ignoring the true potential of AI. It’s a tool, not a replacement (yet).
- Comment on Tesla warns that a federal probe into whether it exaggerated the range of its cars may lead to a ‘material adverse impact on our business’ 1 year ago:
Lying about your shit product will do that, yeah
- Comment on Elon Musk says 'we dug our own grave' with the Cybertruck as he warns Tesla faces enormous production challenges 1 year ago:
I actually thought this was an elaborate joke. The “Cybertruck” looks like a piece of shit, and apparently is a piece of shit.
