- Comment on AI-powered weapons scanners used in NYC subway found zero guns in one month test 3 weeks ago:
You’re making the wrong questions here.
How can we use AI to stop or improve the stabbings? This is what get you a raise nowadays
- Comment on Amazon will “ramp up” Prime Video ads in 2025 1 month ago:
Same thing happened with cable decades ago.
The public TV was full of ads and bad programs. Cable offered you pay them for no ads, good series and new movies. Then the prices rose, then the ads started, then the programs turned to shit as much or even more than before.
Streaming just went the same path.
- Comment on ChatGPT provides false information about people, and OpenAI can’t correct it 6 months ago:
It is made by scientists. The problem is that said scientists are paid by investors mostly, or by grants that come from investors.
- Comment on The more air conditions in an area the hotter becomes around it. In turn increasing the demand for AC. Talk about infinite money glitch. 6 months ago:
If everyone had ACs and did this we could revert global warming!
- Comment on Court Bans Use of 'AI-Enhanced' Video Evidence Because That's Not How AI Works 7 months ago:
Aren’t we already in a kind of dark age?
People denying science, people scared of diseases and vaccination, people using anything AI or blockchain as if it were magic, people defending power-hungry, all-promising dictators, people divided over and calling the other side barbaric. And of course, wars based on religion.
Seems to me we’re already in the dark.
- Comment on I'm a US citizen, people in other countries, what do you think when you read stories like these about the US health care system? 8 months ago:
Actually most third world countries don’t have guns as rights. And their laws on abortion vary wildly.
So the US would be worse than third world.
- Comment on Playing GameCube classics, but in 4K on a Mac with PlayStation controllers, just like Nintendo intended. 8 months ago:
Be careful Nintendo doesn’t know where you live or they’ll sue you, your son, sony, apple, your house, the bed…

- Comment on ‘It went nuts’: Thousands join UK parents calling for smartphone-free childhood 8 months ago:
Exactly! Much easier just making something as “evil” than actually solving the issues around.
Children shouldn’t be using their cells that much, but this is not solved by restricting access to it. It is solved by making communities and spaces child-safe and interesting for them.

Or just pi itself
- Comment on Study finds that Chat GPT will cheat when given the opportunity and lie to cover it up later. 11 months ago:
This. So much this. Chat gpt is just a bullshitting machine of finding what’s the most probable next sentence. It is not by far as intelligent as the dumbest human. It is just excellent in pretending it is. And just because it was trained to do so.

- Comment on The Pentagon is moving toward letting AI weapons autonomously decide to kill humans 11 months ago:
What if we gave everyone their own killer robot and then everyone could just fight each other for what they wanted?
- Comment on The Pentagon is moving toward letting AI weapons autonomously decide to kill humans 11 months ago:
Basically it’s just war with additional taxes and marketing needes
- Comment on The Pentagon is moving toward letting AI weapons autonomously decide to kill humans 11 months ago:
That’s an issue with the whole tech industry. They do something wrong, say it was AI/ML/the algorithm and get off with just a slap on the wrist.
We should all remember that every single tech we have was built by someone. And this someone and their employer should be held accountable for all this tech does.

Laughing hard at this and singing it in my head lololol
- Comment on YouTuber Jirard (a.k.a. The Completionist) has been accused of keeping and hoarding charity donations 1 year ago:
And if you happen to use this interest and money to fund your company while you search for the right charities to support it’s OK. It’s all for charity sake after all!

- Comment on Your Windows 10 PC will soon be 'junk' - users told to resist Microsoft deadline 1 year ago:
I had this same issue and what helped was go for a dual boot with windows and slowly learn how to customize things so that I can be as productive as before.
Also, steam electron helped a lot with this transition, as I didn’t have excuses to not change partitions between gaming and working/studying
- Comment on Your Windows 10 PC will soon be 'junk' - users told to resist Microsoft deadline 1 year ago:
You can have a separate partition for your files so that you change only your OS. Even with windows. This way you’ll always keep your files and just need to customize your distro and reinstall your apps when you change between distros

Mauve for this you’ll need to have an account? This would already help nasa market products towards you and this is a good value they can get without you paying anything.
