I think Mark is doing everything to prove that Facebook has nothing to offer anymore.

So much money being dumped into shit that goes nowhere.

Zucc steals ideas and buys already established companies then profits off of them by siphoning ridiculous lies, shit, propaganda, surveillance and ads.

It’s been his whole schtick from the start.

That’s not only does. One time he invested billions of dollars and literally renamed his company about a stupid second life clone.

        That was all him.

VR is cool but Facebook VR is a horrifying concept

    Not shocking.

I got a headset two years ago and enjoyed it for about six months. As cool as it is, there just isn’t enough good content for it to maintain a long-term strategy.

But the VR documentaries were worth every penny.

Yeah I agree. I splurged on a Valve Index a while back expecting there to be more than just Beat Saber and Pavlov, but beyond those two games (Alyx never did it for me) I haven’t really seen anything that caught my interest.

We’ll see what happens with Valve‘s next headset. If anybody can create critical mass, they can - If the price point is right. If/when there’s critical mass, I’m pretty certain we’ll see a lot more developers start creating.

Didn’t we just see articles last week that Meta is drastically downsizing their VR r+d to focus on AI? That alone will mean that they spend less money next year on VR.
