I think the true secret is that a part of those of us that get out stay connected to the reactor and power it with small bits of happiness over the life of the boat.
Every time you’re stuck sitting at a table with a bunch of people who have barely started eating while you’re done already, or wake up in the middle of the night thinking there’s a fire because your AC shut off, the reactor gets a .0001% boost in efficiency.

Obviously your mileage may vary based on where you’re located, but look into makerspaces in your area. There’s one about 20 min from me with a fully equipped wood and metal shops, CNCs, pottery wheels and kiln, electronics benches, etc etc etc, as well as like, 4 others within an hour drive. A ton have workshops / knowledgeable staff on hand.

Didn’t we just see articles last week that Meta is drastically downsizing their VR r+d to focus on AI? That alone will mean that they spend less money next year on VR.

It does not.

Anything that transmits a signal can be found, just get that out of the way immediately. The only way to be 100% untraceable is to never transmit.
Mesh networks, however, are pretty safe. Triangulation the origin of a mesh transmission will just lead to the repeater node which, admittedly is a pain in the dick if they kill the repeater and the network goes dark, but it doesn’t lead directly back to a person, just a box they stuck on a cell tower or up on a hill somewhere.

I think this might be the most insulting trend in current advertising. You’re not fooling anyone. Just stop.

I don’t know about now, but when my parents were in school it was definitely very common. There is still no law against corporal punishment in private schools in the US, and only 33 out of 50 states have laws against it in their public schools.

Not your best work. Poorly written and confusing, and you keep referencing the question without actually including it in the post, so that the whole thing has to be inferred by reading your stream-of-consciousness mind vomit.
You can’t successfully troll people if they’re just wondering what the hell you’re talking about, my guy.
Please, do better. Not for us, for you. We believe in you.

If you want women under your desk while you play WoW (and what a spectacular early 2000s goal that is), it usually helps to not have an utterly repellent personality or be constantly bitching about how the world owes you.
Kind of a turn off. You seem like the kind of person whose balls would smell.

It fills us with a couple emotions.
Only if you’re a bigot.
I’m a product of a shitty American school just like most people. There were zero non-English speakers at my high school.
I have NEVER thought either of those things about Spanish speakers. Or any language, for that matter.
Saying way more about how you were raised than anything.
Bigot.
- Comment on Is there anyway I can screw around with ICE? I need a new hobby I come from a long line of immigrants. If i send my home address and phone number will they actually come and deport me to choose a cntr 4 weeks ago:
Probably because the most well-funded paramilitary force in the US was just said to have absolute immunity to shoot you if they want.
Doesn’t exactly make me want to go engage in an outdoor activity that requires a license right now.
Who’s to say the park ranger that checks your fishing permit doesn’t put a call in to ICE to check you out, “just in case”?

6 months ago I would have said great idea.
Now, ICE agents have been verified by the government to have “absolute immunity”, and have shown that they have no problem shooting American citizens.
There are a ton of things you can do that don’t involve putting innocent people’s lives at risk just to “screw around” with ICE.
If you actually want to be proactive, read the Simple Sabotage Manual or Carlos Marighella’s Mini-Manual for the Urban Guerilla.
- Comment on The more I understand mass shooters, the more I don't what they do. 4 weeks ago:
Depends what you mean by “understand”.
If you mean that you comprehend in a scientific or sociological how someone could be driven by societal or psychological symptoms into a state of psychosis where it seems like taking innocent lives is an answer to their problems, okay.
I don’t really see how that would make you less like to care about their actions.
If you’re saying that you understand in the empathetic sense, as in you feel the same things that you’ve identified in mass shooters, then you need professional help.
Mass shooters don’t feel the way they do because they’re well-adjusted or stable.
