I find solace in doing things that will help others and maybe improve the world. Local food pantries and shelters need help now more than ever. Mutual aid groups can also be quite effective if nonprofits in your area are sparse or otherwise ineffectual.
Perhaps the actions of a few individuals won’t change much, but I prefer it to sitting around and waiting for the world to burn to a crisp.
Ah I feel we’re getting towards Janeway on a barely cohesive Voyager level of damage report soon.
He appears a tad jaundiced.
It’s due to the amount of drinking required to make it through the past year.

49 Republicans, 48 Democrats, 2 independents in the Senate, and a House majority Republican. That just means all bills/laws made from 2023-2025 were dictated by Republicans in that time. There are a lot of terrible Democrats, but people lie to themselves that we will get laws written by Democrats during any of that time. Most people on here saying “well Biden was President” are pro authoritarian, pro fascist regimes.

Not if you consider the deafening silence of Biden doing less than nothing to insure nobody like Trump could take office again. Or even his blinding inability to undo the BS Trump did his first term… He was basically screaming from the hills that this was going to happen again for those who could hear past the silence.

It’s been like that a lot longer than that. It’s just that most of the damage leading up to 2016 was under the surface and most people didn’t read their damage reports.
