  More like the teachers edition is open in front of them, they’re being actively encouraged to read it for the answers, but they’re still falling every single question including the one at the top that says “Name:”.

  It’s maddening, isn’t it? I’ve been called a Cassandra several times because I “see certain things coming”. Yeah, no shit, I’m not a genius, it’s just simple cause and effect, and some knowledge of history. You would see it too if you open your eyes.

    I read about a psychology study where they analysed how many people can link their own actions to effects. A large number of people made the same mistakes multiple times because they didn’t connect the cause. After being told what the cause is, most changed their behaviour, but a significant portion of people still didn’t “get” it and continued making the same bad inputs.

  I suppose it’s because those who are on the wrong side of history either benefit from it, believe they are on the right side of history due to their inhumane ideology, or simply don’t know or don’t care for history.

  Challenging your own presumptions and admitting that you are not in control and that the world is a lying piece of shit and that things are actually really bad is way harder than double down and just enjoy the money from your 9-5.

  People don’t want to face dark shit. I don’t. I still do it, but sometimes I wish I didn’t. I’m miserable. I have integrity, but that is a pitiful consolation considering how much worse my life is because I don’t just blindly go along with (((society))).
