Like, do I bring spare clothing or do I take transit home as is and just explain to everyone that the blood and semen I am covered in is fake and then simply answer any follow up questions the police they call have for me?
Eh, I went to dinner after a show at a local spot and they were completely unphased. The fake blood wasn’t sticky, it just stains everything. Bring an extra shirt if you’re really concerned, and/or a towel for your car seat if you drive.
One time at a GWAR show I got sprayed right in the face with a stream of fake blood and it dyed my contacts red for a day or so.
Well, a big part of the show is getting people in the front all wet and sticky. Making a real mess!!!
This is done by hitting watermellons with giant mallots, and spraying everyone with the chaos!

My weekend is not officially over but it functionally is. I have been talking with interesting people for a bit.
I like the music, but I have terrible taste. Beyond Hell is still in frequent rotation for me.

Wear an all white shirt or buy a new white gear shirt and wear it.
People wi let you go in front of them because they’ll know/assume it’s your first GWAR experience.

Maybe I will just buy a shirt. If it does stain, I might put it on display.

My phone autocorrected it to all caps so I know I have stumbled on to a big deal.
The fluids are all water based so they don’t ruin their costumes, along with the venues. When I saw them a few years ago there were some people with white shirts on that just looked red by the end of the show. Looking in the mirror I could tell my face was redder than usual, but I’m also pretty pale. Being wet was more annoying than being red, but I also had to drive myself.
So it washes out or should I not wear a light coloured shirt I am in love with?
As far as I know it should wash out, but I typically wear dark colors, so I can’t speak from experience. Thinking about it more, you might want to save your favorite shirt for a different day.
When I went I didn’t bring any spare clothes. Took the train home. I don’t think the color sticks much.
It was a long time ago but I don’t remember any weird looks from anyone or feeling any different from leaving other concerts.
Gwar was a ton of fun and I hope you have a blast!
I am not much of a concert person, but I am really hoping I do get to go to this one. I have been aware of them forever; never heard their music before today. It’s… the most mediocre metal I have ever heard. But to be fair, I am obviously going for the performance and pageantry more than anything else.
I’ve never been into them either. Their show is well worth it though.
It was over a decade ago and before Oderus died. I’m sure it’ll still be fun though
