- Comment on Fata Deum, a god game where you have convert citizen living across an island to your faith, released in early access on Steam. 2 days ago:
Sports game based around cheating (including murdering opponents) and covering it up could be fun
- Comment on Man, 53, marries AI-generated chatbot via matching app 3 days ago:
There were more than one person using different techniques to screw with the LLM bots. Haven’t seen anyone but them personally in a whole. I think they also mentioned their job or hobbies include something with old language.
I highly doubt changing a couple characters screws with the data scraping much. Or that it matters if it does but I also understand wanting to protect your own thoughts and words.
- Comment on Hades 2 version 1.0 finally has a release date, praise Zeus and the rest of them 6 days ago:
Same here
I think I’ll try again this weekend

I loved coin pushers as a child. More so than every other gambling game in arcades.
I still like coin pushers. The few times I’ve been to arcades (the non good kinds) I’ve had fun with the coin pushers. Not the same fun as a child but still.
Most of the coin pushers on steam suck. Coin Push RPG is halfway decent. I’ve played enough to get my money’s worth.
I have this game wishlisted. I’m sure it won’t be the same as a kid but hopefully the extras will make it fun.
- Comment on anybody here heard of lobotomy corporation? 2 weeks ago:
I’ve owned this game for a long time. Never can get into it. Bounced off limbus company too
Got more time in library of runia but not much. It’s a shame because the world of the games really draws me in.
- Comment on Therapists are secretly using ChatGPT. Clients are triggered. 2 weeks ago:
I’d drop a therapist so fast if they were doing this.
Their main job is to listen. I’ve never had one who even took notes during our sessions.
- Comment on The excellent survivor-like Halls of Torment is getting a big DLC and free update 2 weeks ago:
I just played some an hour ago. I’ve had it for a while and haven’t played much. I’ve only unlocked three characters and two levels.
It’s fun. I very much enjoy the sound of skeletons bones clattering when they die.
Movement seems slower than any other survivors game I’ve played. It’s a little too slow for my taste but upgrades and gear do make it faster.
I agree you should go back to it. The aesthetics are fantastic.
- Comment on Valve now require UK Steam users to verify their ages with a credit card, thanks to the Online Safety Act 2 weeks ago:
Ah I was going off what I heard from people living in the UK. They might have been wrong.
But steam cards are just steam gift cards
- Comment on Valve now require UK Steam users to verify their ages with a credit card, thanks to the Online Safety Act 2 weeks ago:
I imagine they have steam cards in the UK.
The age check is only with credit cards though. Debit cards won’t verify your age.
They force you to open a line of credit if you can’t verify your age via the other methods they have.
- Comment on Digg's new app is basic, but a great start 3 weeks ago:
“because AI reads that ads also” is fucking funny
You’d think summarizing just the article is something a LLM could do. Ah well
- Comment on AI can find cancer pathologists miss 3 weeks ago:
There was also a study going around claiming that llms caused cancer screenings by humans to decrease in accuracy. I’m not a scientist but I’m pretty sure the sample size was super small and localized in one hospital?
Anyway maybe they’re remembering that in addition to the automatic AI hating down votes.
Not that I’m a fan of AI being shoved everywhere but this isn’t that

- Comment on Americans’ junk-filled garages are hurting EV adoption, study says 4 weeks ago:
My parents have a garage full of junk. It used to drive me crazy. We have strong storms where we live and a tree/branches falling are a real possibility of damaging their cars. Plus hail storms sometimes.
It’s mainly my moms stuff. Some of it is worth money but it’s not being sold or anything.
If they used the garage as something other than storage it would be one thing. Instead it’s full of stuff for no real reason.
- Comment on Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Pre-Order Trailer 4 weeks ago:
I really liked the first one when I was younger. More than it deserved probably. It hit a lot of the right stuff for me.
I don’t have any good expectations for this new one. It should be something I’m looking forward too but I’m not. Much less pre ordering it.
I hope it’s good. If it is I’ll play it.
- Comment on Why It's OK to Block Ads (2015) 4 weeks ago:
I was watching some TV with friend. Show on prime and on Hulu.
Both had ads. Granted they were far less than actual television is but I do not miss ads at all. They really spoil the experience. Especially for a paid service.
- Comment on Slay The Princess - Official Announcement Trailer 4 weeks ago:
This post made me finally start this game up. I bought it a long time ago but didn’t play it.
I played maybe an hour and so far it is fantastic. Can’t wait to play more.
- Comment on Is there a place online where I can apply for a bunch of free books? I was thinking of creating a library in my local county jail to help educate and pass the time in a healthy way? 5 weeks ago:
People like to read?
I’m not sure what you’re asking. I grew up with books as gifts and access to a library. I would literally sometimes read a random book. Some of my favorite books are unknown because they’re old and not remarkable to most people. They just got read by me at the right time to leave a lasting impression.
- Comment on So Long to Tech's Dream Job: It’s the shut up and grind era, tech workers said, as Apple, Google, Meta and other giants age into large bureaucracies. 5 weeks ago:
When money and power are funneled to the few then yes. Something more cooperative or democratic probably wouldn’t have the same intensity of the problem.
I think it’s only inevitable because of how our society is structured.

- Comment on [Megathread] Payments Processors & Collective Shout VS NSFW games 1 month ago:
Huh, I never really thought about it when I was on reddit but I sure ended up ignoring the megathreads.
On steam there’s often dedicated threads to post bugs/questions and somehow they make it harder for me to find a problem or solution also. I usually will find what I need in a different thread.
- Comment on Readers are canceling their Vogue subscriptions after AI-generated models appear in August issue 1 month ago:
It’s hard to tell from the Twitter video but yeah the photos looked good. I wonder how long it would have taken if they didn’t have the AI credit on the image.
This article is entirely about the reaction on Twitter. I realize that’s kind of how we interact nowadays but also I wonder how the Twitter reaction compares to the base readership. I didn’t see anything concrete in the article but I wasn’t reading too closely.
On a side note Alex Jones show is entirely him reacting to Twitter now and it’s become even worse than it already was. As I have learned from Knowledge Fight. Only way I keep any tabs on that guy.

- Comment on Mass Effect 5 is "still in pre-production" says director as BioWare shifts full focus to the sci-fi RPG amid dev reshuffles and reported layoffs 1 month ago:
I thought the gameplay was improved. I mean the actually mechanics. Clearing whatever the underground chambers were was a slog. The majority of the enemies were rather uninteresting too.
The story was pretty weak but it had some interesting side stuff. It could have been far better especially with the arks.
Huh…I guess I agree with middling. I had more fun replaying the trilogy.
- Comment on I may have a chance to see GWAR later this year; what should I know before going? 1 month ago:
I’ve never been into them either. Their show is well worth it though.
It was over a decade ago and before Oderus died. I’m sure it’ll still be fun though
- Comment on I may have a chance to see GWAR later this year; what should I know before going? 1 month ago:
When I went I didn’t bring any spare clothes. Took the train home. I don’t think the color sticks much.
It was a long time ago but I don’t remember any weird looks from anyone or feeling any different from leaving other concerts.
Gwar was a ton of fun and I hope you have a blast!
- Comment on Ancient Aliens vs Predator game briefly resurrected by Steam player thirst for Six Packs 2 months ago:
I remember getting stuck as predator in some jungle encampment. Definitely was a game.
AVP2 has more memories for me as a kid. Loved starting as a face hugger.
- Comment on Meet Demonlisher, the maze game that's actually a demon slayer 2 months ago:
I have a few games I really enjoyed that have mixed reviews. It’s a shame that when I’m browsing I’ve been conditioned to mostly ignore mixed and below. Usually they have significant problems that negate anything cool.
I’m going to try this out based on your post and the other positive reviews I saw
- Comment on (PC) Chill farming games (non-Anime)? 2 months ago:
I second travelers rest. I’m not too far in it despite owning it for years. It’s very chill. I don’t think there’s any real time limits. The only real issue I’ve had with it was accidentally opening my inn and not realizing a crowd has developed with no one to serve them.
Graveyard keeper is pretty good too but I stopped playing after needing extra kinds of materials. It’s been a while but the farming of the resources was just a little too much for the type of experience I was after. I’ll get back to it eventually. I liked the idea of the game a lot.
- Comment on The bizarre, dismal page you see if you open YouTube without an account. 2 months ago:
That’s the type of stuff I love YouTube for. I don’t watch it like I used to but when I do it’ll usually recommend me something else I’d enjoy.
…in addition to shorts I don’t want to watch and tons of videos I’ve already watched. At least I don’t get the right wing trash most people get.
- Comment on What are ways to independently make a few bucks on the side? 2 months ago:
Aw I was curious.
Thanks though seriously for the book suggestion. I’m going to read it as I am at a position in life I need to make a serious change.
