  California has a long history of being cruel to the poor. They hate migrants no matter if they’re from China, Mexico, or Oklahoma. In the 30s they set up a state “border patrol” to keep dust bowl migrants out.

  “Grapes of Wrath” is essential reading for American lefties. The movie is a pretty good substitute for those short on time, and the song takes less than 10min. Steinbeck himself commented bitterly on how few verses it took Woodie Guthrie to sum it all up.

  Gavin Newsom is everything that’s wrong with the Democratic party.
