I’m not trying to be a 1-upper, but you need to also include the power the computer and CPU use as well. Not to mention the age of the outlet and how many times a plug has been inserted/removed from it. The contact resistance can be pretty bad depending on how old the outlet is.

Good luck plugging that into an outlet without tripping a fuse under load.
- Comment on New Cars Don't All Come With Dipsticks Anymore, Here's Why 1 week ago:
My wife has a 2016 Honda Odyssey, and having grown up working on cars because my dad was a mechanic, I was shocked to learn that there is no transmission fluid dip stick. It’s considered a closed system and never needs to have the fluid changed, allegedly.

- Comment on Nearly half of streaming subscriptions are for plans with ads 1 week ago:
Exactly this. We had a once in a generation chance to change how people watch TV and movies, and we fucked it up once again. We’re right back to paying for something with ads. Cable TV was better than broadcast back in the day because you could hear swears and see nudity, but suffer through ads for it.

So they can use Linux in the name, just not at the beginning? We’re so stupid. Can they do Windows Subsystem for Coke? Or Windows Subsystem for McDonald’s? Or Windows Subsystem for MacOs?
Good gravy.

- Comment on Netflix used to not have ads, now it’s ‘celebrating’ two years with them 6 months ago:
Even though I already pay for my mom, and a different geographical location about an hour away, last week when the kids and I tried to watch Netflix we got an unstoppable prompt to upgrade again for another $6.99. I hit cancel and it didn’t do anything. So I closed the app, reopened it, and the pop up again. Couldn’t watch Netflix.
A few minutes later I got an email from Netflix saying thanks for upgrading. They charged me anyway. I cancelled my entire account as a result. They’re never getting another nickel from me.
