Some games get better FPS since Linux runs with much less overhead. Mileage may vary, but a few games I play run better so far.

I swapped on win10 death day and haven’t looked back. Everything I’ve played so far not only runs, but runs phenomenally.

- Comment on ‘Death to Spotify’: the DIY movement to get artists and fans to quit the music app 5 weeks ago:
Additionally Spotify pays them shit. A number of artists have done “pay what you want” including 0 for their music on Bandcamp, they all reported making more money in a week than multiple months of Spotify.
You are also assuming I don’t find other ways to support artists, like merch, shows, patreon and Bandcamp.

Listenbrainz and chosic work great for me

Bandcamp or many artists have digital purchase options on their website.
If you can’t purchase it online you could do physical media.
Otherwise you can find other ways to get the music and support artists in other ways. Shows, merch and patreons usually go directly to artists.

I use both listenbrainz and chosic for suggestions. Both work well.
- Comment on ‘Death to Spotify’: the DIY movement to get artists and fans to quit the music app 5 weeks ago:
I stopped using it. I have a navidrome server I run and purchase songs from artists directly when possible, otherwise, I acquire them and support artists directly in other ways

At this point. I wouldn’t be surprised if we found our Cracker Barrel was outrage farming, paid the botner to manufacture it for them so they could change it back and reap the boost from conservatives.

The Christian religion regards God as infallible. So if his designs aren’t perfect either we weren’t designed by him or he isn’t infallible, which breaks Christian doctrine.

- Comment on Why LLMs can't really build software 2 months ago:
I’ve only found two effective uses for them. Every time I tried them otherwise they fell flat and took me longer that it would have to write the code myself.
The first was a greenfield personal project where I let code quality wane since I was the only person maintaining it, and wanted to test LLMs. The other was to write highly repeative data tests where the model can simply type faster than me.
Anything that requires writing code that needs to be maintained by multiple people or systems older than 2 years, it has fallen completely flat. In cases like that I spend more time telling the LLM it is doing it wrong, it would have taken me less time to write the code in the first place. In 95% of cases, I am still faster than an LLM at solving a problem and writing the code.
