Takes a sip: phone falls :)
Just by looking at it, this model should scale easily in the slicer. (Scale up by 21.5% if my math is correct.) It may look odd, but even scaling up one axis (Y) may work too.
Excellent, awesome design!
Thank you very much! I am jlad you like it!
I love the design, simple, functional, and beautifully minimalistic!
Thank you very much! Spent a lot of time designing and testing until it printed and felt good, so I am glad to hear that it looks good as well.
Anywhere I keep my phone often enough to need a stand ought to be charging it too.
Mostly agree but sometimes power isn’t available where you want the stand. Also, this is a pretty keen design - might be worth modifying with a simple carve out on the back to pop in a Qi charger.
Fair take. I usually don’t keep it in one place. I mostly watch long form content while I work and have never encountered the problem of my phone needing to be charged in the vertical orientation. I may implement your suggestion at a later date, but you are welcome to remix my design if you are unwilling to wait. Cheers, and thanks for the feedback!
Flip that bad boi upside down :) booyah
To preserve port life I keep it capped and only ever charge inductively.
If you posted this on Thingiverse, someone in the comments would complain about the supports being too hard to remove from and the model being oriented the wrong way.
Luckily, I have learned to pre-orient my models correctly, to avoid such fiascos.
Just make them Pan, then the orientation doesn’t matter
Also it would be on Etsy already and have had 200 units sold
That looks really nice and elegantly simple. If I could make a suggestion though, you might want to raise the phone cradle up a bit and put a slot in the bottom so it can charge while on the stand.
I honestly never thought of that, maybe in a future model at some point. I rarely ever charge my phone on the stand, and only when it’s horizontal. But I am glad for the feedback!
I only thought of it because I bought a little stand for my phone a couple years ago and it has one, but fair enough!
Nice! looks good and easy to print.
Glad you like it and happy printing!

When did you design this? I remember printing a very similar phone stand years ago. I used it for a long time, it was great!

I was made aware (with threats) of a very similar design when I posted this on reddit. I designed this independently and was made aware of the design after I had already uploaded my model.
