Personally, I would not be able to understand this, looking at the code (or any code). I appreciere that they shared a visualization of it. If you’re hun up on the word “publish” instead of “share”, “posts” or “shows”, then I think its redundant
- Comment on Selling my old printer, looking for feedback 1 week ago:
I just bought an used Ender v3 S1 pro with a sonic pad and a laser engraver for the equivalent of 215 CAD
I have kept my V2 for now and plan to attach the engraver on it but at some point I am thinking of donating it to a school or local group / club.
I can’t even sell a resin printer for the equivalent of 100 CAD

Ok. I am not familiar with self leveling so wouldn’t know if it’s enough. But maybe it just needs a good cleaning with alcohol?

Have you done any bed leveling?
- Comment on Using PrusaSlicer, is there a way of getting a thicker (two layers, preferably) support base? See linked pic for what I mean. 2 weeks ago:
This looks like a small print, suitable for experimenting. Try tilting it 45 degrees so that it is tilted against the bed. It won’t have much contact to the bed but may need way less support and the layers may even strengthen the print.
I’d tilt it so that the flat backside faces towards the bed but do try various versions, see how it goes and also evaluate strength

Big tech has never seen common people as anything but data. It’s funny they now are concerned for what will happen to us if their bubble bursts
- Comment on 3D printed Linux Mint emblem to cover up the illuminated Apple logo on my ancient MacBook 5 weeks ago:
Nice! The reason why i did a color change is that dark fillament does not let as much light through, so the logo pops a lot more than if the whole badge is illuminated. Also I have set the infill to 40% just to hide it from showing like that.
That said, I wanted to make one where the logo is countersunk into a solid top. That might be even nicer!
Also maybe use some temporary glue, until you settle on something that works well. I’d be afraid that the one you made, might show the apple logo too much. It will simply just shine through it
- Comment on 3D printed Linux Mint emblem to cover up the illuminated Apple logo on my ancient MacBook 5 weeks ago:
Nice! I’d love to see pictures of it in green. I didn’t have green filament so I went with red. Will you use solid green or translucent?
It might be worth trying both in order to see how the light shines through them, before glueing it on 👍

Yeah mine struggles with videos too and it’s from 2011. Still good for browsing though

I agree. It really is very easy to install though …!

The one that I had in my junk drawer 😜 I think it is some sort of contact adhesive. Honestly though, I don’t know if it is the right choice. I was going for a hold that was strong, but maybe also breakable if I wanted to replace it. This is why i didn’t use super glue or two component stuff.
That said, it’s only been there for a few hours, so this may also be a thing you’d need to adjust to your needs

Remember when the Panama Papers were leaked, that exposed many celebrities who were involved in tax fraud and other criminal activities?
Remember how much it affected the involved people?

God I hate abbreviations… Especially in a long post where the poster obviously doesn’t mind typing… SCP, MC, DDLC, VN,… 🤦

Thanks! I was especially concerned to have a private seller ship the printer, but when they told me that they had the original box I felt pretty safe that it would be ok.
I’ll keep an eye out for flaws thanks

Oh no. Way better that Tinkercad if you ask me. I have already been able to make way more complicated shapes and designs than I had ever thought possible with Tinkercad
- Comment on Anyone had any luck running Fusion 360 on Linux? 2 months ago:
They have since released V1 that seems to be pretty solid. Still not 100% but for a free software it is a very useful tool that gets most jobs done
- Comment on Anyone had any luck running Fusion 360 on Linux? 2 months ago:
I think it’s called parametric design right?, freeCAD suppports this but I have heard that there is a bug when trying to edit shapes with filet I think?
- Comment on Anyone had any luck running Fusion 360 on Linux? 2 months ago:
Personally I’d say go with freeCAD even for simple designs. Its a great way to learn the software and you will not end up adjusting you designs to the limitations that tinkercad has.
Also I feel like it is difficult to do premise placement on tinkercad

It has a dedicated CAM workbench yeah
Here are aime tutorials for CAM in freeCAD www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaUEbWaf2rhSGcjQK9…
And the CAM category on the freeCAD wiki wiki.freecad.org/Category:CAM

You’ll need to get used to many new things when switching to Linux. Changing to FreeCAD could as well be one of those
It will be frustrating, and it will take some time to get used to but honestly it’s worth it. If not for anything else then to flex your brain cells and keep them nimble

I’ve never encountered or noticed this problem that you mention.
I can’t even see an issue with choosing a name that suits their gender, whatever that may be…
Is this really such a big deal irl?
