When I was drinking heavily all the time I never dreamed and it was awesome.
I haven’t had alcohol in a very long time now and I don’t like how vivid dreams can be, most of the time.

Yah, it was a big ol subculture in the 00s. Still kinda around but nowhere near as much. I grew up around some. Crunchy as hell but extremely anti-racist and anti-homophobia (despite almost all of them gratuitously using the word “fag” and all its other forms, but that was the style at the time.) I had almost entirely good experiences with them.

Insane! I just picked up MH stories 1, MH stories 2, MH Rise, and Sunbreak all for less than half that price hahaha. I won’t even play rise again, I played it to death on the switch, but it was only a couple bucks more to add it to my collection!

Not related to STS2 or this topic, but if you really enjoyed Inscryption, I stroooongly urge you to play Daniel Mullins’ other big game, “The Hex.” I went in blind on the advice of someone when I was back on Reddit. They told me
“Don’t watch the trailer, don’t read anything, the weird graphics in the screenshots will make sense like a half hour in. It’s so cheap but it’s an incredible game.”
I picked it up, started it with my partner, and we marathoned it in a couple days. We could have gone faster but we took our sweet time, there were MULTPLE mind-blowing moments for us, and it has ties to the Inscryption world, too. Like nobody has played it compared to Inscryption and I find that insane. I started with Inscryption and loved it, it’s got more replay value than The Hex, but overall I think I’d rate The Hex a tad higher in overall game quality. It’s so… I can’t say anything more without spoiling stuff. Go in blind, it’s worth it!
If you or anyone else reading this heeds my advice, PLEASE let me know what you think of the game once you’re… like, into the game a bit and “get it.”
The Hex and “The Forgotten City” (a game NOT by Daniel Mullins) are two games I went into completely blind, wouldn’t have it any other way, and wish above all other games I could experience again with no memory of the games.
Please go play the Hex, everyone who liked Inscryption! (Also Danial has another game coming out this year or next and I am UNREASONABLY hyped and I don’t ever get hyped for any games ever anymore)

My partner filled their DEX in Sun and Moon, the last game with every single pokemon!
I did not even come close hahaha. I focused on making an incredible IV/EV team instead.
- Comment on I want to replay Skyrim but 2 weeks ago:
The Forgotten City is one of my favorite games. Like, legitimately. I wish SO BADLY I could play it again without knowing anything about it. I went in absolutely blind and learning about the world, rules, everything, it was INCREDIBLE. Go, anyone reading this, go play it blind right now. It’s not like Skyrim at all, just the engine it’s built on… but damn. I wanna say more but I can’t!
- Comment on Apple Accidentally Leaks 'MacBook Neo' 2 weeks ago:
I mean, an m4 air with 16GB RAM and a 256SSD destroys almost any windows laptop at 600USD, and that’s how much they’ve been going for. Any lower than that, even with 8GB RAM and that’s an extremely good deal.

I got a 16GB RAM M4 MacBook Air for 600USD so it better be cheaper than that if it comes with 8GB…

Ahhh I didn’t realize world was defedersted from hexbear! I’m happy db0 doesn’t defederate with many places, as far as I know. I know hexbear and this instance haven’t gotten along in the past but a lotta my values line up with both instances most of the time, and a ton of bangers come from bears.

I never tried MXE! I wanted to as I have enjoyed ket in the past, but the times I was offered MXE, I just eas not in the right headspace/environment.
Foxy is fucking insane. It had the normal visual and auditory hallucinations, but it’s the only thing I’ve ever tried that gave me full on temporal distortions. My partner-at-the-time and I were listening to familiar music. The music would get lower in pitch and streeeetch out, each individual note playing for longer and longer, until the tone went back to normal and the notes stopped being played for so long. When it was low and slow, our bodies got soooo heavy, we would just lay on the floor. When the notes got fast and higher pitched, our bodies would be light with energy. VERY weird stuff.

I took DOC back in the 00s (on purpose) and it was an extremely wild 20-some hours. Second weirdest thing I’ve done (the weirdest is Foxy by a WIDE margin,) but I still had a relatively good time due to having a great and comfortable set and setting. By hour ten, I was VERY ready to be done.
