    They aren’t and, if they were, is that a problem?

    Look at what right-wing echo chambers have led to. Look at what the “centrist” internet has led to.

    Its 2025 and there are still people on the Fediverse convinced that the problem is the “left”. Utterly divorced from reality.

      That’s because the left expects loyalty but never gives it in return.

      You people think you can keep calling people nazis because they don’t agree with you on everything and expect them to ignore it. People don’t like being censored and they don’t like being told what to think.

      The left doesn’t care about the working class either, they’re just not as brazen in exploiting it. So when all that’s left is the culture war (good job everyone who perpetuated it over the class war), a significant amount of people aren’t going to be on your side.

      A lot of you only have yourselves to blame. You behave like children yet want to be treated as adults. It doesn’t work that way outside of your parent’s houses.

      My ONLY problem with the left is they preach tolerance but are ALWAYS the ones to start the abuse, insults, name calling and threats when they are disagreed with.

      On a place light Reddit most subs will just ban you for showing any right leaning opinions. Or any opinion that goes against their narrative. That’s not what tolerance is.

      Also, neither were designed specifically as such, unlike social sites like Truth. Plus, Twitter and Facebook are heavily dominated by right leaning groups.

    they arnt anymore lol, its mostly leaning right wing, and not even in a good way. it was also never left, its center right at best. if it was truely a “center right” site, conservative subs wouldve banned along time ago,.

  I got banned for responding to r/unpopularopinion something about prisons, and said people in prisons should work everyday 9-5, forced labour, no excuses etc. And someone responded that prisoners working would not be safe because other prisoners could easily attack other prisoners and harm them. And i was like yeah so if anyone attempts to do that, should be shot on sight. Basically warned before entering 9-5 work to be given instructions that attacking other inmates is wrong and you will be shot on sight if attacked other prisoner. So basically that was it. I got banned, because i wanted to make prisoners work like the rest of us, normal society who are not punished for prison time.

    I worked w guy that did 7 years in state pen in like 1990’s. They were made to go out on work crews (not chain-gangs.) Picking up trash from side of road sorta stuff. They actually made a competition out of it to see who could do the most work. Said it felt good to actually be giving back to society.

    I asked what if you wanted to be the guy that stood there and refused to work? He said you could, but the inmates would make that person pay when they got back to lockup.

    How does this apply to your reddit banning post? Not sure but I figure i better leave there before i get banned. My first post on lemme.
