I mean I’m not gonna ick their yum. If they’re enjoying the game, great! Please keep playing it and enjoying it. I still think it sucks though.

I wouldn’t even say it’s half finished, it’s just a fundamentally flawed game design. I too an a huge Bethesda fan but their implementation of an open world space RPG is just awful and there;s nothing that can be done to fix it without making a whole new game.

Maybe they just actually enjoy the game…?

I gave it a pirate and quickly got bored, it’s so anemic. I couldn’t bring myself to care about any of the characters or factions.
And then there’s more Radiant Quests shoved in there than ever before.

I’ve been a big Bethesda fan for years, no one else makes games that quite come close to their very simulationist style. I like Starfield, and now that it’s a year after launch I have finally found my angle on it to get the enjoyment out of it that I wanted. I think it’s a good game.
But it’s also a flawed game, it’s clearly not for you, and that’s okay too.

The game looks like a bad reaction to The Outer Worlds. Big B trying to up their once business partner who made New Vegas

I played it on game pass. It was a pretty good experience until I used up all the side quests. The main quest held no interest for me. I had no interest in becoming starborn.
Trying to load the game on busy days was probably the biggest negative I can think of.

I got a good amount of playtime out of it, but only because I used mods and had fun installing texture packs and stuff. Also the Luma HDR mod was some of the best HDR I have ever seen. It made the game absolutely beautiful on an OLED monitor. I spent a lot of time just flying around to different planets and cities and just looking at the HDR presentation, taking screenshots.
That being said, yea, the game sucks. At the best it’s very mediocre. I definitely don’t think it’s worth $70.

I got it for free with a CPU I bought. Played roughly 3 hours before I stopped. It was just too boring.

Now is the time for empathy.
Imagine your favorite game was getting shit on by literally EVERYBODY on the Internet. You’re probably going to want to defend your favorite game. Especially if you’re in a community dedicated to people who play that game, you’ll probably have many other people jump in and help you defend it.
I don’t know why people enjoying a game you never bought bothers you so much.
For reference, I also tried it on Gamepass, but I didn’t make it through the tutorial because the game kept crashing. So, no love for it here, but why bother complaining about those who had a better time than us?

It’s literally the exact reason for the QUIT HAVING FUN meme. So you think it’s a rip off, so you’re disappointed with it. Fine, don’t buy it. But other people are having fun, and they can enjoy it just as much as you don’t.
