Not paying for shit from 2k or anything with Denuvo but I’ll take a magnet link if ya got one.
- Comment on YSK that United has significantly escalated their war against basic economy passengers 2 months ago:
I mean yeah, that sounds like some bullshit. Make up a new rule that makes no sense but screws passengers out of their money. If someone complains, just give them an exemption. If they don’t take their money.
It’s like when Well Fargo got caught stealing a few pennies from millions of customers. Anyone who complained got their money back, but those that didn’t (which was a lot) they just kept.
- Comment on New Kindle e-readers no longer appear on computers 2 months ago:
Sometimes there’s an obscure item I need that I can’t find anywhere else. That’s what I usually buy on Amazon. Other times it’s cheap Chineseum stuff that I want to be able to return without hassle or get refunded if I never receive the item.
But yeah, generally I try to buy directly from the seller, and especially try to buy locally if I can.
- Comment on Location tracking of phones is out of control. Here’s how to fight back. 2 months ago:
Years and years ago, they discovered that Google was still tracking your location, even with location disabled. That’s because Google created a surveillance network using your friends’ phones. Your friends’ phones would find local WiFi connections, and report them back to Google, along with associated GPS data. Then Google used this to make a sort of WiFi map. So now Google can tell where you are without ever getting any actual “location data”.

Whaaat? I definitely use Bluetooth without location services, and always have?

it exemplifies rather well why I hate the word “toxic”
I mean it can be abused just like any other adjective…

Imagine someone punches you in the mouth and then when you get pissed off and say mean things, they call you “toxic” and “hostile”. Like bitch, you created this situation.

I like the language exercise of trying to say a complete idea in the less possible words.
Except people don’t do that. They just create these ridiculously long and confusing threads

They could easily claim damages, considering they may have made sacrifices over the years against other providers in anticipation of the T-Mo guarantee.

I think it’s worth noting that you could never post this message on BSky due to arbitrary and fucking stupid character limits.
I’ll never join anything with character limits. Like, why?

I mean they would have to charge enough to make it financially viable. Maybe no one else would buy it but me…
- Comment on Windows Recall is secretly installed on non-Copilot+PCs (Privacy Nightmare) 2 months ago:
if they did the 2nd part entirely within your PC, would it be ok privacy-wise, and would the consumers be ok with it?
I mean Chrome works exactly like that now so, yes?
Depends on how you define “okay”. Do people understand how it works, and want it to work that way? Absolutely not. Will they do absolutely anything to change it? Also no.
- Comment on Windows Recall is secretly installed on non-Copilot+PCs (Privacy Nightmare) 2 months ago:
It really hasn’t though. MS used to make money selling Windows and other software licenses for shit that you owned. Back in the day before personal data was The New Oil.
- Comment on Windows Recall is secretly installed on non-Copilot+PCs (Privacy Nightmare) 2 months ago:
What do you think it would cost MS to sell a version of Windows that’s just…an operating system, and not an ad platform? Like Windows XP? Or maybe Windows 10 on day 1?

- Comment on Portal 2 project lead wants Valve to return to single-player games 2 months ago:
Sure, it’s not like their last full release was actually a single player only game.
You have to consider Valve’s position there. That wasn’t just any old single-player game, it was a VR game that was released to boost development of VR games in general, which Valve would make money off of basically any VR game ever created.
Same reason they created the Steam Deck. Look how that worked out for them.
- Comment on Portal 2 project lead wants Valve to return to single-player games 2 months ago:
Valve doesn’t care because single player games have a short lifespan and finite income. Games like Counter-Strike people play and spend money for literal decades. The amount of money they must make from these is unfathomable.

Not just moderation, but you are responsible for all content on your server, some of which may be illegal and hosting it is a IRL crime, but the sheer size of it is impossible to filter.
