Quorn are bigger and better I think.

I generally like beyond products (theyâre pretty much the only soy-free commercial vegan protein option), but that just looksâŚbad.

Not all Quorn products are vegan though, which is dumb.

What!? TIL. Fuck man
MonkRome@lemmy.world â¨2⊠â¨weeks⊠ago
Iâm not vegetarian, but I like Quorn nuggets more than chicken nuggets.
undefined@lemmy.hogru.ch â¨2⊠â¨weeks⊠ago
Quorn has always been pretty nasty in my experience.

Itâs not soy ? What is it then?
Also whatâs wrong with soy? Iâm assuming thereâs some health restriction Iâm not aware here.
bert_macklin_fbi@lemmy.world â¨2⊠â¨weeks⊠ago
Beyond uses chickpea protein. Soy allergies are pretty common.
prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone â¨2⊠â¨weeks⊠ago
Why not just eat falafel at that point
Broadfern@lemmy.world â¨2⊠â¨weeks⊠ago
If it was readily available in grocery stores where I live, I would. Same for seitan.
Broadfern@lemmy.world â¨2⊠â¨weeks⊠ago
Like the other commenter said, itâs chickpea and mung beans and some other stuff.
I have a soy allergy and am intolerant of red meat, so Beyond burgers are the next best option for me. I can sometimes find pre-made bean patties but those are rarer. ÂŻ\(ă)/ÂŻ

Iâd still put it in my mouth
jeffw@lemmy.world â¨2⊠â¨weeks⊠ago
Iâd be surprised if this isnât photoshopped
bus_factor@lemmy.world â¨2⊠â¨weeks⊠ago
I agree. If it looks like that on the inside, why show the cross section?
Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de â¨2⊠â¨weeks⊠ago
and why would it look like that? Making it an attractive shape is not difficult and thatâs the whole point of fast food joints!
If this is even remotely real iâll eat my tiny comedy fondant hat that i always wear.
