- Comment on If I use Caddy for reverse-proxying into another local machine... is my local connection not HTTPS? 9 hours ago:
Your choice I don’t encrpt local comms because it is all in machine. Go to proxy and proxy goes to another container but never leaves the machine but don’t see a reason to encrypt. Even HA in a seperate machine what are they going to see.

And when if they happens sure shit on them but people are like this is what is going to happen.
- Comment on The Saga Of Hacking A Bambu X1 Carbon 1 week ago:
Eh they have made 3d printing a hobby where tinkering with the 3d printer is the hobby. I’ll wait till they do the bad thing everyone says they well do.
- Comment on Choosing my first printer is driving me mad. 1 week ago:
I have 3d printed for decades but yes Bambu has made it easy and I like it to an extent. And the X1C want even my most expensive printer but it was by far the one that I probably printed the most with. Because it just worked.
- Comment on Choosing my first printer is driving me mad. 1 week ago:
Really I prefer orca.
- Comment on Choosing my first printer is driving me mad. 1 week ago:
Prussa had the chance bit they never really innovated kept 3d printing as a tech hobby. Bambu disrupted the industry and made it easy and accessible to people who wanted to print and not tinker with the printers.
People who want to tonner hate bambu because they opened the hobby up to people who just want to print. Which is fine and both can exist just like cars. - Comment on Choosing my first printer is driving me mad. 1 week ago:
The open ecosystem is dead already. Prussa is not even fully open anymore. And like them or hate them bambu has made 3d printing more accessible to the general public.

May ebo suck at CAD but love OpenScad as its easier for me to understand.

Not sure that project seems dead. I would like if they did an H2D version though.

Extra cost? Where are you getting filament? In my country it is very competitively priced at least the refill filament. Even Amazon is maybe a buck cheaper.

They haven’t lost faith. The X1C was the first printer I could recommend to a normal person. And they love it could they have used some printer before no they involved to much tinkering.

What vulnerabilities? Sure there are some but nothing massive that I have seen. Care to post them.

- Comment on Mozilla under fire for Firefox AI "bloat" that blows up CPU and drains battery 5 weeks ago:
Like the cheap bastards people are they refuse to pay what software costs and here we are. People well not pay for stuff, or expect a one time fee for lifetime support. Software was better when we had released every x years and we just bought that. Want support and new features but new version.
- Comment on Mozilla under fire for Firefox AI "bloat" that blows up CPU and drains battery 5 weeks ago:
One a lifetime membership is not a sustainable business model . Two people so not want to pay for stuff a small percentage might but the vast majority won’t escpically when there is Chrome which is free.
The problem is everyone wants shit got free or 99 cents one time payment for life time upgrades. These are not sustainable business models. Then we complain why are their ads or whatever, well do you work for free? People have to make enough to live. - Comment on Popup Ads in Your Pickup Truck? So now this is an ad? But when Apple does similar it’s just letting you know about services offered. I consider both an ad.
- Comment on Popup Ads in Your Pickup Truck? RAM Trucks Now Feature Scammy Ads on the Center Display 5 weeks ago:
Yes I hate that argument and it’s not true. Cars are collecting tons of data and we pay for them, people “pay” for Windows one way or another and it’s collecting data.

I’ve driven many makes of vehicles and never seen this. Sure the buttons are there but just like the AM)FM. Or you don’t want them their at all it’s just an audio source and purchase a vehicle without satellite radio they still exist.
- Comment on Meet the AI vegans: They are choosing to abstain from using artificial intelligence for environmental, ethical and personal reasons. Maybe they have a point 5 weeks ago:
Search sucks and the AI is faster for tech questions. Try searching a Linux cli question or obscure error. Lots of stuff from over a decade ago that are no longer relevant. And you have to wade through so much to find the right one. Or type in AI wait a minute and get the answer.
- Comment on Why do people like the Punisher comics? 1 month ago:
He kills the bad guys. Batman doesn’t make sense. How many people has the Joker killed? Yet Batman won’t kill him and he keeps getting out and committing crime.
