US and UK weren’t one country. US was a UK colony. The UK passed the baton of being the world superpower to US.

But being a colony is different from being an equal part of the nation where you have the same rights as everyone else.

Greenland is more Europe than Ukraine because Greenland has been part of Denmark for over 1000 years but Ukraine is new. But It’s more likely that America will conquer Greenland than Russia conquers Ukraine.

Nuclear is different from oil and coal.
They’re not solving the world’s problems not because oil exists, but because big powerful private oil companies exist who lobby the government and publish propaganda to manipulate the public.
