I feel sad that the Captain is used to stand for the morally wrong side in this joke. Especially from this scene, I faintly recall it was about not doing enough to save or help some people.

Hi serious.
- Comment on How do people get rid of or sell stolen jewelry? I ask cause the news says the the Louve thieves can never sell it because it so known? 3 days ago:
But that is exactly the point of stealing it and keeping it private. You choose who gets to see it and no one can enjoy it but you at any time you want.
Granted, it is idiotic, not arguing around that.

But now you commented somewhere online and kept interactions up with the article. So it has achieved what it meant to. To be rage bait.
- Comment on Its a solar powered phone / webserver! Made from a pixel 6a, solar panel, and hopes/dreams. 3 days ago:
I cannot keep track which models have issues but isn’t the 6a one of those with battery bloat issues? Might remember wrong. Definitley a cool project! Is the phone not getting super hot in that plastic box?

- Comment on Microsoft is making every Windows 11 PC an AI PC 5 days ago:
First, you should be able to interact with it naturally, in text or voice, and have it understand you.
Second, it should be able to see what you see and be able to offer guided support.
And third, it should be able to take action on your behalf.
Fourth and finally, it should be able to destroy your corporeal form and live on as digital-you liking your aunt’s dog pictures on Instagram and writing Facebook posts about immigrants taking our jobs, with just as many creative slura as you would use.

I’d go for a mix of 50% sd cards and 50% controllers. Maybe 40/60, science is not decided yet.

- Comment on Mary E. Brunkow, one of this year's Nobel Prize winners in Medicine, has only 34 published papers and an H-index of 21. 2 weeks ago:
Sure, not a bad view and I don’t know much about Brunkow and how she works, to be clear… but: you do need all these things in order to get academic funding so you can work on your ideas. Which I am not saying is a great system, it isn’t, but I don’t think it is easy to say these days to academic reseachers, especially early career ones, to not care too much about publications.

Same, I only played it last year. Amazing game overall. Sad to hear this, hope some of these will reform in a new team.
- Comment on Phones may come without bundled USB cables in the future, if OEMs have their way 2 weeks ago:
Yeah it is nice it can support it, that does however not mean they actually do. There’s so many articles and videos out there around the topic of badlx made usb c cables, this is a real issue.
E.g. here since you are probably going to ask for a source pcworld.com/…/buying-a-usb-c-cable-watch-out-for-…

You think people doing door dash deliveries actually care about that? The average person that also uses an iPhone probably has been ok with face unlock for years.
In my workplace they rolled out the face unlock for Windows laptops some time ago. I see many many people making use of that. And I don’t care if in some cases the claim is being made (right or wrong whatever) that images don’t leave the device. The average person won’t think there is a difference to it.

- Comment on [deleted] 3 weeks ago:
If it is linux check the folder permissions. All issues I had with it and what posts I have seen online all go back to Jellyfin not having access to the folders because it was set for e.g. root user and Jellyfin was not running as that (it shouldn’t of course, just change the folder permissions to include Jellyfin).
If you installed via docker I think there is a setting to define which pernissions its container should get, maybe that is also set wrong.
