You… do know the name comes from Greek mythology and not that movie? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus
It is the god that stole fire from the gods and gave it to humanity. A much more favourable view on the name. Sorry, I am just really concerned that someone thinks of that movie first when hearing the name.

- Comment on Major Bitcoin mining firm pivoting to AI, plans to fully abandon crypto mining by 2027 as miners convert to AI en masse — Bitfarm to leverage 341 megawatt capacity for AI following $46 million Q3 loss 3 weeks ago:
I don’t get it. What are they even seling then? Bitcoins I understand, but AI? Just enabling scams?
- Comment on Breaking: Google is easing up on Android's new sideloading restrictions! 3 weeks ago:
Well we are already getting a popup warning when installing apps outside of the play store. You also have to enable the actual source where you the file from/try to install it from for allowing installation of these apps.
How massively complicated are they thinking to make this that people are not “coerced” into installing? Also there is really no need to pressure anyone to download a scammy app. There’s plenty on the play store.

Is there any way for you to stream via an android device. There some apps like Findroid (currently in a code rewrite phase but the last stable version works fine still!) which have a much simpler interface. My kid was able to use this nicely at age of 4 already, but that was for watching on an android tablet, so maybe not applicable for you.

“It’s not like I’m going to spend the money,” Musk said on a conference call in October. “It’s just if we build this robot army, (I want to) have at least a strong influence over that robot army.”
Holy fucking hell. How does this not raise massive red flags? Straight from the guy that brought you a Sieg Heil not too long ago.

- Comment on YSK before you buy a replacement for your cellphone that has stopped charging, buy the $10 cleaning kits and spend the time deep cleaning the phone's charging port. 4 weeks ago:
Do not use a needle. Use something wood, like the toothpick you suggested, or plastic. The needle might damage the port.

Am I saying they are?
- Comment on ProtonMail Logged IP Address of French Activist; Should You Be Worried About Your Privacy? 4 weeks ago:
Probably yes since they don’t operate out of Switzerland. Sorry, couldn’t resist! But they would probably comply with a German legal order.
- Comment on ProtonMail Logged IP Address of French Activist; Should You Be Worried About Your Privacy? 4 weeks ago:
What data? Here it is the IP address and only under order by authorities.
I feel ever since the social media shitstorm people love to pile on Proton for anything. They never said they won’t comply with law enforcment, did they?

- Comment on How do people get rid of or sell stolen jewelry? I ask cause the news says the the Louve thieves can never sell it because it so known? 1 month ago:
But that is exactly the point of stealing it and keeping it private. You choose who gets to see it and no one can enjoy it but you at any time you want.
Granted, it is idiotic, not arguing around that.

- Comment on Microsoft is making every Windows 11 PC an AI PC 1 month ago:
First, you should be able to interact with it naturally, in text or voice, and have it understand you.
Second, it should be able to see what you see and be able to offer guided support.
And third, it should be able to take action on your behalf.
Fourth and finally, it should be able to destroy your corporeal form and live on as digital-you liking your aunt’s dog pictures on Instagram and writing Facebook posts about immigrants taking our jobs, with just as many creative slura as you would use.
