I think LLMs are fine in moderation. It can be a useful tool in software development as long as it stays just a tool and you don’t let it write your whole codebase.
I think LLMs should stay the hell out of the artistic space though. I’m not even remotely an artist but that’s the one thing that is and should remain a human thing. Computer automating art is gross

I’m pretty sure it asks you how often you want to see the AI overview doesn’t it? Can’t you just click never?

IIRC that’s just one of the backends they use for their results

For the time being yeah. I still use Firefox on mobile myself but I do hope they release a mobile version at some point
- Comment on Just the Browser: tools to remove AI and other bloatware from Chrome, Edge and Firefox 2 weeks ago:
I really like the Zen browser. It’s Firefox-based, open source and privacy focused with AI removed but it’s also really pretty and is built around vertical tabs

Aw damn yeah. The dev must have needed to take a quick nicotine break between handling requests or something
- Comment on Delirium on demand 3 weeks ago:
I’ve never tried them but I’ve tried most other things and from what I understand from obsessive drug researching, high doses of Benadryl is not fun and is dysphoric rather than euphoric but some people like doing it anyway for some bizarre reasom

The CEO is insane. He apparently self-describes himself as a socialist but is the highest paid CEO on earth and fantasises about dumping cyanide-laced urine on people protesting state-backed brutality
- Comment on Be fabulous 4 weeks ago:
Yo mods can we just ban politics (American specifically) in this community because it’s just being used as a dumping ground
- Comment on Be fabulous 4 weeks ago:
I don’t agree with your messaging but I agree with your spirit. I’m here for Lemmy shitposts, not more American internal political slop. We get enough of that shit on our frontpage. Must we suffer another round of corn posting?

We also only just recently got a capable PS4 emulator. I’d imagine it’ll be a decade or two before the PS5 can be emulated in any sense

It was always really just the “freedom” to speak hatred against the current out-group. Freedom of speech means nothing if its not intersected with the freedom to live a life free of harassment and discrimination

What the hell even is that email? What purpose does sending a fully generated, unprompted email like that out even serve? Is it just a bizarre advertising campaign for their platform? If they wanted to send a sincère thank you message then they could have written it themselves rather than that shallow slop that benefits nobody
