I hadn’t heard about that since I quit reddit. That might be the new best of the worst examples of his incapability of admitting fault ever.

Speaking from my covid lockdown era dark times, ordering on food apps is a great way to waste a fuck ton of money.

It’s all incredibly online, but searching the keywords “piratesoftware WoW drama onlyfangs” will get the ball rolling if you want to see a prime example of how a narcissist acts when getting caught out very publicly. He also embellished his past a lot and that got parroted in every thread mentioning him for months, so that shouldn’t be hard to stumble upon.
- Comment on The end of Stop Killing Games [Accursed Farms] 4 weeks ago:
Ah you know, not the outcome I hoped for but it’s exactly what I expected from humans.
paraphrasing a little more than a half hour of the video: “Man, fuck Thor/Pirate Software for either lying or misunderstanding and signal boosting his incorrect interpretation of the campaign.”
I agreed with Ross previously that Thor taking a really dumb fuck position helped get more attention on the issue that was, IMO, as hopeless as trying to get the masses to care about or understand Net Neutrality. That was what I saw repeated and upvoted at the time even before Thor revealed himself to be a gigantic narcissistic nepo baby bullshitter more recently.
If you watched the vid OP, what changed his opinion? I’ll check it out once I’m home from work regardless.
- Comment on Fan-made Mario Kart 64 PC port released, with track editor and ultrawide support 4 weeks ago:
I played this for 6 hours straight. Lovely port so far but there are some minor bugs. Namely in the point scoring results screen with flickering text sometimes probably z fighting. I also had the mini map get bugged position and overlap the lap times upper right a couple times.
Other thing I noticed was timing differences at higher frame rates like the steam train crossing the desert road.
OpenGL is very slow considering what it has to render. Used Vulkan but I tested OpenGL briefly and it chugged at 2160p with 120hz and frame interpolation on. AA was off.

When video streaming first appeared on the internet, I basically stopped watching cable. I tolerate 0 ads and abuse video and streaming services until it’s impossible to do so and then I just won’t use those services anymore. It’s not sustainable to let me watch, acknowledged. I don’t care.

Imagine not being American and using Bluesky. Or Mastodon. That’s the vast majority of what’s there if you speak English.
- Comment on Scientists achieve 1,000-fold increase in solar electricity using ultra-thin layers 4 weeks ago:
To build the new material, the team used a high-powered laser to vaporize the crystals and redeposit them in layers just 200 nanometers thick. In total, they created a structure consisting of 500 stacked layers.
Always comes down to how fast you can manufacture ideas like this.

Username checks out. That’s interesting, I don’t doubt these experiences happen. In fact I thought you and OP would be the more common experience.
- Comment on Does seeing daylight create an illusion of being a little more warm? 4 weeks ago:
Acknowledged OP edit aside…
I can’t say I’ve experienced that illusion myself. I do wonder if there’s something to your question that has to do with Circadian Rhythm or waking up more when you see sunlight.

That I didn’t know!
- Comment on How would I pop a bag of popcorn on the microwave? 5 weeks ago:
Buy loose kernels in jars, they’re the cheapest popcorn in the store.
Get a big flat pan and a matching glass lid so you can see through it.
Avocado oil has a very high smoke point, you won’t reach it making popcorn. I’ll explain why. Add some to the pan. I use quite a bit, I like it better than butter so it’s the only fat I add.
Optionally buy the salts/fake butter combo flavor cinemas use. Sift it over cold pan to taste. Otherwise, use what you like for seasoning.
Turn the stove to max heat.
Dump in kernels.
Cover and wait until a small handful of kernels to start popping.
TURN OFF THE STOVE. The residual heat in the stove/pan will fully pop all your kernels without burning the earliest kernels to pop. Shake your pan gently now and then to get the kernels stuck in the already popped corn to drop back down.
That’s it!

I have anxiety and learning to drive was a temporary hell for me too. I don’t really ha e a choice unless I want to work at McDonalds until I die of old age. The career opportunities aren’t accessible without a car. That’s big empty Alberta with shite public transporyltation for you though.
So the question is really whether or not you can get by without learning the skill. You do eventually gain confidence via practice. However yeah, there’s always inherent danger from you and any human sharing the road with you. Everyone will make mistakes. Some end very badly. Ultimately it’s your choice. You should know by now if you can potentially survive independently without a vehicle or not where you live.
This you can ignore if you don’t respond to everything new or scary in your life like you are with driving:
I had a friend who spoke like this all the time and she ended up being the living embodiment of Learned Helplessness. I could elaborate, but it’s a dreadful story and ends in a very early totally preventable death.
