Certainly not, but at least as long as humans are still around.
- Comment on No we can talk here 5 hours ago:
Yeah I’m not into hanging out inside a Red Giant/White Dwarf/Black Dwarf/Floating for trillions of years watching Heat Death personally.

Nah I’m in if ageless isn’t false too.
Just not immortal, 'cuz the Sun sure isn’t.

It’s great so long as you can either stomach giving google money for a Pixel or buying 2nd hand yeah.

I hadn’t tried this yet despite using GrapheneOS and F-Droid.
Seamless, saw all my preexistent apps and updates went fine under anonymous login.

Deciding to install GrapheneOS is constantly validated for me! But I never want to give Google money ever again.

Alright, I’ll give the new to me crew a go. Thanks for the follow ups!

A good catch up, but I meant more like: are these people worth following? Because yeah I didn’t stick around once the east/west split happened to know these people.

I don’t know these people. Should I?
I knew the old crew. Sans Dan who’s too uneducated and incurious for my tastes.

Humans don’t plan ahead for preventables and get angry if you diminish current QoL for long term safety. We know this. Earth getting a direct hit solar flare ends civilization. There’s no divine safety guard rails, we’d just be fucked.
I like your use of “when” because it is fairly likely to happen one day. It already has, and Morse code had just been invented IIRC. Not that long ago, just wasn’t a big deal then.

Does it matter?
I don’t mean that in a dismissive way. Actually think about it.

I’ll try a stew this year. I have a garden, just never had them in mind before lol.

I just realized I’ve never eaten a beet on purpose that wasn’t pickled.

I’d rather just have a new Mafia game in the 20’s. I love the old vehicles, just want a new story.

I’m reading this after just finishing a video about asteroid hunters getting chased off by tribal villagers who thought the space rock full of arsenic seeping into their ground water was actually a curse and wouldn’t let them remove the rock poisoning their ground water in case they made god mad.

IpFS like ddh says makes the most sense probably. But you can archive a lot of raw text. Try to save what you think the Nazis would burn. I doubt archive.org survives many more years. Leaked archives of american research papers too.

I agree and recognized that. I’m more emotionally upset about it tbh. The debates aren’t for the debaters, it’s to hopefully disillusion and remove indoctrinated fears from those on the fence willing to read them. It’s oft repeated there when people ask “what’s the point, same stupid debate for centuries.” Well religions unfortunately persist, and haven’t lost any ground globally. Gained, actually. Not our fault they have no new ideas.

I won’t tell you.about civiity because
How could that do anything besides shield the sealions, JAQoffs, and grifters?
Not shield, but amplify.
That’s the point of the subreddit. I’m not defending them if that’s at all how I came across.

Worthless research.
That subreddit bans you for accusing others of speaking in bad faith or for using ChatGPT.
Even if a user called it out, they’d be censored.

Less messy too when it’s white bread getting tacky in a ziplock baggy in a warm backpack. The chips adhere like glue.

I hear you but again I’ve left out an important detail. Those debate boards have moderators who are mostly checked out since the API drama, so the influx of morons using ChatGPT to “think” for them without getting banned has become intolerable and incredibly depressing when considering the long term implications of that among youth.
The positive feelings are an afterglow.

Honestly it’s two niche debate subs that kept me engaging that there’s no substitute for. I think with the reply button blocked I’ll be able to delete my account again soon. Yep I’ve relasped before.
…and I mainly used those subs to deprogram from my upbringing. That’s the real truth, I found it healing.

I’m almost there, I had to block the reply button with ublock origin. Quite the habitual addiction.
