I will, used in a few years. Assuming emulation isn’t rapidly done again.
- Comment on How do you guys feel about Gab Social? 2 days ago:
Both groups are beliefs without evidence and authoritarian daddy issues, make sense to me.
- Comment on Scientists in Japan develop plastic that dissolves in seawater within hours 3 days ago:
The catch would be the reactor. An EVA type of plastic reactor can output more than 12 tons per hour these days.
- Comment on Most American headline 4 days ago:
We’ll also note that their supposed god claim never chimes in to distance himself from these people.
- Comment on YSK: Condé Nast Parent Company is a Major Owner of Reddit, You Should Avoid their Publications (Wired, Ars Technica, GQ, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Vogue,...etc) as Much as Possible. 5 days ago:
The list of who not to avoid I think is much shorter.
- Comment on Meta and Yandex are de-anonymizing Android users’ web browsing identifiers - Ars Technica 6 days ago:
Google doesn’t do global roll outs with their updates. The anti adblock stuff especially. They target only some % of randomly selected users to spread confusion online, and I would guess their hope is to frustrate people into disabling ad blockers on Youtube after reading a bunch of misinformation and placebo bad advice when looking for tech support.
- Comment on Vote manipulation bots using sh.itjust.works? 6 days ago:
I may be more willing to be skeptical. I’m not sure if the reduction in bad faith is really worth the downsides of vote ranking myself.
If SomethingAwful can survive to this day without it and an intact strong community identity, I think it comes down to the usual things that tip the scales heaviest of all things considered: Site ownership, moderators. A sense of humour doesn’t hurt either.

Even if the hardware does…drivers matter. I’m reminded of the Moore Threads MTT S80.

- Comment on No looky for you! 1 week ago:
Good advice for everyone.
I leave the door open yep, clean the drain trap too.
I should try anti fungal instead, we’ll see if it does better than vinegar. The cheap bulk white vinegar does work, I just have to do that twice a month and remember to wipe down the gasket frequently.
- Comment on No looky for you! 1 week ago:
To see the mold growing in the side loader machine’s silicon gasket that never dries out of course!
Also because that’s what the house came with and it didn’t break yet.
I kill it with vinegar filled wash cycles now and then but it’s annoying and recurrent. Top loader with dumb knobs and a metal lid next if they die before me.
- Comment on respect dandelions! 1 week ago:
Where I live it’s frankly too dry for uniform grass lawns and dandelions will completely take over if left alone. I’d be fine with it if I didn’t find the green jagged leafed plant and milky red stems so fugly, never mind the nice yellow flower.
I’ve been overseeding with white clover and native wildflowers since moving in both of which thrive in the spring choking out dandelions naturally. Puts nitrogen back into the soil too unlike grass.
All I do is aerate now.
- Comment on What games are just objective master pieces? 1 week ago:
Age of Empires 2 /w The Conquers expansion pack.
Roller Coaster Tycoon 1. (2 was weaker without OpenRCT2, the real masterpiece, but idk if unfinished projects should count or not)
Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tournament 1999 GOTY, Worms Armageddon, SimCity 3000 Unlimited, Forza Horizon 2 / Motorsport 3, Need for Speed Underground 1, Clonk! Rage, Metal Gear Solid 1/2/3, Ace Combat 4, Okami, Tokyo Jungle, Zelda BOTW, Mario Odyssey, Sven Co-Op, Killing Floor 1, Final Fantasy 7, LISA: The Painful, Everhood 1, Deus Ex 1, Left 4 Dead 1/2, Portal 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2…
I could go on and on.

I think we’ve known this about Ring cameras for awhile now at least. Lowkey I kinda seethe about any neighbors buying that spyware shit. It’s not like the fucking cops give a singular shit about home robberies anyways.

That’s fine and might be beneficial medically one day, but I was under the impression Gabe was also interested in using this tech for VR/AR too eventually.

A lot of questions about ease of use, but I answered them neutral because some are bears to set up, others are one click. Idk it depends.
- Comment on Is Pop_OS! kind of bad? 2 weeks ago:
System76 left a really bad taste in my mouth.
I can’t speak to Cosmic, but their existing system updater tool was a crash prone pile of garbage that never got fixed for years. That’s right, the tool they shipped with was known broken open issue on github for YEARS.
Then one day I updated and the latest linux kernel just didn’t work on my S76 branded laptop. Didn’t for MONTHS.
Maybe they’ve improved since, but I’m never giving them money again.

- Comment on No we can talk here 2 weeks ago:
I’d rather live as long as possible, the idea doesn’t seem to bother me oddly enough. I’ve thought it through and still think I’d prefer extended life lifespan. I could elaborate, but people don’t generally like hearing my views on such things so I’m not going to.
That said, I think your opinion is the most common that I’ve heard, and it’s understandable.
- Comment on No we can talk here 2 weeks ago:
Certainly not, but at least as long as humans are still around.
